Mom dropped the ball on field trip day so we took a vote and decided on a trip to Teacher's Corner Kids Mart (Gillette, Wyoming) and Office Depot. We picked up a few Pokemon along the way. (Lots of Chanseys since the Valentines Day event is happening!)

I live in upstate SC. If we get a dusting of snow, people buy all the bread and milk and the whole world shuts down! Seeing you drive in all that snow was funny to this southern girl.

So glad I stumbled across your KZbin channel....you guys are such amazing parents and your kids are all so well polite with each other.. They really think of each other..you don't get to see that to often in families these days...love where you live such a beautiful place especially when it's snowing....we did a 6 week trip June July 2013..we hired a motorhome and drove from LA to Millwalkie it was amazing and we are a tad crazy so worked in well...we were thinking of doing another trip Christmas 2018 so we could have a white Christmas but not sure now whether it would be a good idea to drive a motorhome in the snow with NO experience...but you make it look so easy to do...thank you for inviting us into your family and home...Carol.

I bet you'll do fine! The thing about driving in the snow is that it's really only bad if it's currently storming. Once the storm has passed, they get the roads cleared pretty quickly and it's not bad at all. You might have to sit put for a day or two if a bad storm comes through, but after that you'll be able to go along your merry way!

Your calm demeanor is so inspirational! Claudia's whining would drive me to the loony bin -- does it ever just push you over the edge? Is there a story behind Thomas' cross that he wears? Was it a gift or did he buy it himself? I love how your kids seem to understand money so well.

I definitely have my moments where I feel like I'm going to go crazy! Your tolerance level increases as the children increase, though. :) Thomas won a plastic cross necklace at Bible school one time and he really liked it and wore it all the time. Tom also liked to wear a cross necklace in high school (it must run in the family because this was never something Thomas knew about); anyway, Tom gave his old necklace to Thomas and he wears that now.

LOVE your videos! I started playing Pokemon with my son almost 20 years ago - to do something together that I knew he loved & we still do Pokemon stuff together to this day! He's in college about 4,000 miles away- miss him. My kids are 28, 23, & 13. My 13 yr old is just like Asher. Thin & cute! Thank you for the videos!

I would love to know more about venturing out by yourself with all the children! I have 6 and I just haven't got that brave yet. I also just love little Solomon! He remains me so much of my 3 year old Asher :) I would also love to know how you don't go crazy with snow all the time! We get snow a few times a year in SE Indiana and I have a hard time with that much. Mostly keeping it from being tracked in the house and all the snow clothes storage.

We used to have a similar store filled with teacher/school stuff here. I loved going there as a child, I dreamed of being a teacher just so I could decorate a classroom! :) And that dream came true, I'm a teacher to my 6 wonderful children, we've been homeschooling since the very beginning.

I love Office Depot in the summer when they have all of their super good back to school sales! I go every week and get all the supplies my daughter needs for school for a fraction of the price of the back to school packs they try to sell us from her school! I'm there as soon as it opens but mine is only a couple of minutes away. My husband thinks I'm crazy that I love school supplies so much. I get more excited than my daughter! Do you take advantage of their deals?

Does the arrangement of seats always like this or everyone just seat randomly every time they ride the van?

There are assigned seats, but usually someone calls shot gun and rides up front. Then their seat might get taken over by someone else. Thomas prefers to have the backseat to himself so he hardly ever tries to ride up front.

Thomas is 15, Asher is 13, Judah is 11, Justus is 9, Eden is 6 (she'll turn 7 in two weeks), Solomon is 4, Sophia is 3 and Claudia is 18 months.

Not really. Whoever calls Shotgun gets it. Sometimes there's a dispute over who said it first so one kid gets it on the way and the other gets it on the way back.
