Fall/Winter Clothes Shopping & An Unexpected Goodbye ║ Large Family Shop with Me │ Oct. 2018

In October, we did our bi-annual clothes shopping as well as picking up our regular monthly items from Walmart. (We also stopped by Home Depot to get a doorknob for our back door.) We spent just under $1,000 for all the clothes and our usual items. I haven't checked the receipt, but I presume we spent $450-$500 on filling in the season's clothes for our family of 11. (I'll be putting up a clothes haul video soon.)
Grandpa Frank (Tom's grandfather) was in the hospital so we went to see him for awhile. He kept telling Baby Hannah how beautiful she was. We never imagined it would be our last visit. He went home from the hospital and seemed his usual self, but 11 days after our visit he passed away in his sleep. I'm so glad we got a picture with him during that visit.

I always think there's a touch of 'The Little House on the Prairie' about your family - especially Andrea with her long hair, sewing machine, and herbal remedies. Then I see these clothes shopping vlogs in Walmart and I realize how far we've come from Laura Ingalls Wilder. LOL, loved it. And I'm especially impressed that you can buy shoes for everyone without the trying them on.

Wow, 3:57 of the video was so touching and moving with the family photo of Grandfather. I am sure little Hannah will grow up to cherish that photo of her Mom and Grandfather. Andrea was so wise to document her family history. Her family has brought so much joy to us who have enjoyed watching their family life's journey. I hope they realize how much we all are praying for them at their time of loss.

Grace Nicola i live in North Dakota where there’s snow about 8 months of the year. If you are no longer growing and know you will use them for more than one year, I’d suggest spending more money. They are better quality and last longer. Andrea buys from Walmart because her kids are still growing and probably won’t wear them for more than one winter. I spent about $100 for my boots but I’ve had them for years. Hope this helps!

If you like a firm pillow which I highly suggest for neck and headaches.. invest in a bamboo pillow.. me and my girls sleep on them. They are amazing. Make sure to get the name Bamboo.. I know bed bath beyond has them on sale sometimes.
