Stillllike hearing your voice and wisdom Andrea. My children are grown adults but I loved seeing how you were raising your children. Tom is doing a great job!

I have never thought about teaching children to be "family orientated" when it comes to money. Very interesting. Thanks for the food for thought!

Love the intentional parenting...training the kids to be good stewards of money, contributing to family chores and finances, etc. They are going to be well prepared for life as a grown up, unlike so many today.

I love your idea of "adventure time". With 2 toddler boys, I see this coming in handy. 🙂

When I had my first 3 boys (in 3 years) we used to borrow a book from the library (and I eventually bought my own copy) called Three to Get Ready about a mother cat and her kittens. There's a scene where she takes them our for a walk and it so reminded me of life with my little guys. Little boys have so much energy and it's so fun discovering the world through their eyes! www.amazon.com/Three-Get-Ready-Read-Book/dp/B0007DKLD6/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1484191344&sr=8-4&keywords=three+to+get+ready

I really enjoy your videos. Especially your home school one's. We use ACE and love when there is positive reviews.

+BlackbeardsInhaler Thank you; I appreciate it. I planned to get more ACE videos done, but it hasn't happened yet. These daily videos I've been doing are being done with no editing (editing is what takes so long!) I know what you mean about positive ACE videos. I kept looking for them on KZbin and there wasn't really anything good. I finally decided I might as well start making them myself because surely I'm not the only one looking for them!

I was telling The Drummer about how your son buys the bread for the family and we talked about how that must make him feel when he sees his family eating something tangible and needed that he provided. What a gentle, powerful way to teach a young person about providing for others and handling money. Deeply impressed. xoj

Mrs. Andrea, you talked a little bit about the wall clock that you have with a timer on it in one of your videos and I can't remember which one. I was just curious as to where you got it. Thanks!

They are called Time Timers. We have a 12" in the living room and a couple of 8" ones in our library. I think they have smaller ones, too www.amazon.com/Time-Timer-12-Inch/dp/B002GTZZ6M/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1472922901&sr=8-3&keywords=time+timer

Ok, so I have been trying to go through a lot of your videos in the right order but I am getting confused. I saw a bathroom organisation video but it said number 4?? I can't find the other ones (I have been trying to search the playlists etc). Am I understanding that your day pretty much goes from 10am (roughly) till 6pm?? Are there breaks, down time? Also when do you slot in nap times for the littles (especially Claudia). I am finding that I am kind of 'trapped' with nap times. Several naps a day for the baby (6 months old) and a nap for the 2 year old from noon till about 2:30pm. So my day is gogogogogogogogogogo!!! Haha! All of the children have chores and jobs, we try to start our day at 9am just in the hope we can be done school by 3pm. It seems like such a long day of intense work. I am not looking for this 'relaxing' life but I would like more time to sew or even make my own you tube videos. Sorry for such a VERY long comment!!!

On Wednesday you said your big boys work on school most of the time. Do your school goals stay the same on Wednesday? I lead a ladies Bible study on Wednesday morning and I’m trying to decide what to do about the kids schoolwork. They still have plenty of questions though they are getting more independent with the ACE curriculum I just ordered. They are still in their first pace so I’m waiting to see how things shape up as they become more accustomed to independent work. For reference sake mine are 10 and 12.

Anyone that needs a lot of my help has a shorter day on Wednesdays to make it easier for me to get everything done. My older kids do the same goals on Wednesdays. My younger kids drop reading for the day since they're doing stories at the library. When they're in Kindergarten and the beginning of first grade, we don't do any school on Wednesday, just the trip to the library.
