Andrea lived her life by God and following her heart. To say she was beautiful inside and out doesn’t feel good enough. I feel led to be a better person after watching every video she made.

I am so grateful that God had this video pop on my screen today🦋 Nice to hear someone else was doing the same things and had the same beliefs as I do💜 I had this person last week tell me it will be nice for me to start fulltime work and recieve more income..I found those verses also last week Andrea quoted and I had those same thoughts...cant wait to see what else God places of Andrea's videos in my path. Always encourages me and great Blessing for her children and others in the years to come 🌻💜

It was interesting when you said about just having one set of clothes being enough but, for you, two pairs were sufficient. I come from a large family, and my Mum always made sure each child had 3 sets of clothes - she always said ' One for the wash, one to wear, and one for best - meaning Sunday church best - and it's something I've lived by all my life. It definitely makes life much more simple to cope with :)

Loved listening. I have similar thoughts on the topics you talked about. My mom passed away when I was a week away from turning 18 and I am now 57. Over the years pretty much all of her things have been lost but there was one item an old fashioned Santa with his bag opened to be filled with candy, usually candy canes. Over the years it was the ONE thing I told my children if the house was on fire grab it! It was not packed away with the other holiday decorations. I knew then my heart was not in the right place over it. It wasn't valuable just sentimental. Well one year one of my brothers was visiting and somehow we got to talking about memories and he mentioned the only thing he really remembered was this Santa figurine. Of course I knew exactly which one. Without saying anyone I got up and went and got it and gave it to him. It released me from it. It is still a loved item , now by him. It was part of his childhood memories too. I try too keep a light touch on material things.

I recently bought William Durant's entire series of "The History of Civilization." I was super excited to find a mint-condition set of these out-of-print books. I'm determined to work my way through them and right off the bat in a discussion defining 'civilization' it talked about tribal man and how as soon as there he had 'surplus' the idea of 'property' comes into play and then greed. I've been thinking about that for two days! Surplus = greed. Wowza.

Are the two biggest 'daily projects' at your house food and school do you think? --The things that take the most time and thought/planning in keeping your home going? What is the biggest items in your monthly budget....food? xoj
@TheMillsFamilyVlog8 жыл бұрын
You're probably right about my most time consuming activities. This year school is going to be more time-intensive than last year because I have a Kindergartener. The older kids don't actually require that much daily, hands-on time for me. I spend a lot of my time researching things and planning/creating things that aren't necessarily school related. I spend less time cooking than you would think. The kids are really independent and helpful. Food is probably our biggest budget item, but I've noticed since I've been using my menu card box that our spending has been steadily going down. I spent about 1/3 less at Walmart this month and the last two weekly shopping trips have only been $50. I'm very surprised by this.

Roseola, is cause by a high fever. That's what my pediatrician told me.
@TheMillsFamilyVlog8 жыл бұрын
+BlackbeardsInhaler As I understand it, it's caused by one of the herpes viruses. It can start with mild, cold-like symptoms (I don't recall noticing any in Claudia, but she may have had some) followed by the high fever. Then, just as the fever breaks, the rash comes. That was definitely what happened!

Wait though at 9:... You were talking about a dollar and giving half away. If that was my only dollar, I wouldn't want to give half of that away. I'm figuring that the million dollars you are talking about is the total one has and so the dollar is also the total one has.
@TheMillsFamilyVlog7 жыл бұрын
Yes, but the thing is that when you live with little, you realize you _can_ live with little and you aren't stingy. (If you couldn't live with little than you'd be dead, of course, so if you're alive and have a dollar you've already figured out you're doing fine.) My friend talks about a visit she took to Africa and that everyone thought she was too skinny and wanted to fatten her up. In one home everyone was eating dinner; each person had one plate of food and there wasn't anymore in a serving dish or anything. They kept offering her their plates of food and it's not as though they could serve up another. They didn't have more, but they knew they were doing fine. That's one of the big heart differences that often manifests itself when one becomes more wealthy; you forget you'd be fine without it and you begin to cling very tightly too it. If all you have is a dollar, what difference does it really make to give away half of it and only have 50 cents? Not much.
@thewatergal57707 жыл бұрын
I just can't get my head around that thought. I will think on it more and if it's ok, can I ask you more questions about it? I have lived on very, very little previously in my life so I'm not talking about the money, it's the thought of giving away half.
