1)World Cup 86 quarter final: Second of the five penalties takers in the shootout against Mexico, scored with his left foot. 2) World Cup 86 semi final: Scored earlier on against France with his left foot before Voeller wrapped up 2-0. 3) World Cup 86 final: His two corners took West Germany from 0-2 back to 2-2 against Argentina. 4) Euro 88 group match against Italy: His free kick earned a draw for West Germany. 5) Italy 90 group match against Columbia, in his absence Columbia managed to score an injury time goal to make it 1-1 in the left wing. 6)Italy 90 against Holland(right foot), England(left foot) and Argentina(right foot), all the 3 goals in the World Cup were decisive and the penalty shootout against England with his right foot. 7)Euro 92 trailing 0-1 against Russia deep into injury time, being duty captain in the absences of Voeller and Matthaus, he won a back tackle from a time-killing Russian player, setting up a last attack for Thomas Doll before drawing a foul from Russia, Thomas Hassler scored from the free kick and made it 1-1. 8) Euro 92 against Scotland, He slotted into right wing back for injured Reuter. 9) Euro 92 Against Denmark in the final, he was dispossessed leading to Denmark's goal in the 0-2 defeat. RIP, my hero.😢

Days when every player in the team had a defined role every team had a strategy.. today every team plays same total football everyone is running behind the ball boring tikitaka.. no one wants to defend even goal keepers want to attack.. Italy 2006, Netherlands 2010 and 2014 and Croatia and Russia 2018 were really special..

No, England v Argentina. In the 117th minute Platt had a goal disallowed denying England a 2-1 win in extra time. Same as in 1970 quarter final when Hurst scored a disallowed goal for a wrong offside call. Germany have had payback for 1966 for a very long time.
