Even if I genuinely like the product, I won’t take the sponsorship if I can’t say exactly what I want. Not the most lucrative choice but 🤷🏾.

You always find new things to say about heavily reviewed guitars - even down to the possibility of re-frets or the type of clothing one wears and whether a strap is necessary. Thanks for always being so thoughtful, professor! This guitar really seems like a great all in one travel solution. Also, thanks for generously giving one of these guitars away!

Picked one of these up as a couch guitar - and it's great for that***. After playing it for a week or so I suddenly realized - I'd gig this thing. Great feel, stable, rock solid tuning, and the 'buckers are quite nice sounding on their own. For reference I own Steinberger, Parker, Godin and other mid/hi end axes. ***One thing nobody I've seen has yet mentiond - when using the internal amp/speakers this thing wants to feedback. Of course, since the whole body resonates. It favors lower end feedback, this may be a blessing or an annoyance depending how you look at it.

I really like my Enya. I’m very impressed with it, and this is from someone who plays on an Emi-6, and owns 22+ odd guitars ranging from expensive McCarty’s, Modern Eagles, fender custom shops, Dead Pec SS (and regular core) and other great guitars. And yet I play this one quite often and it is always on the couch next to me. I was sent two of them, and I use one all the time on my couch and also drag it with me in my car. I plug it into my iPad into logic or garage band and can record directly into the daw. I would recommend it to any beginner… I would spring for a fret dot sticker pack for a beginner.

Thank you for the opportunity to win this guitar! I am self taught on the guitar and have been playing for about 40 years and probably at an intermediate level. I would love to use this guitar to expose my 2-year-old granddaughter to the wonderful world of guitar music, while also creating fun entertainment for the kids and family! I was inspired to play guitar at a young age because an older adult played for me and allowed me to play the guitar even though I had no clue what I was doing. I hope to pass along such a special gift to my own grandchildren. Thanks again Andre, and thanks for a great, sincere review.

Loved how your review hit lots of relevant points for real-life use, rather than hyping it. Subbed immediately, and did all the rest of that good jazz for your international competition. How I‘d use this guitar? As a hobby solo acoustic player and singer (for occasional parties, weddings, corporate events and even busking), I‘d love to have the Enya for electric-guitar sounds on covers calling for that. I‘d use it plugged in (e.g. to a modeler and then my Everse 8 or JBL PRX One) or - for busking just with its built-in speaker. I love how easy it would be to switch from clean to grit and back again, without having to mess with pedals or even have any at my feet. This can be a huge asset when busking, especially here in Germany, where rules apply and one often gets asked to knock off or move on when amplified. So best to be highly mobile. If I can get a really nice clean tone out of this, I‘d just leave my acoustic at home and busk until my voice gives out. ;-)

I had this guitar for two weeks and I liked it a lot, but I sent it back for two reasons. You’re the first one to bring up the first reason which is the frets on the guitar. After two weeks I wore pretty good grooves in the frets and I began to wonder how long this guitar would actually last. The second issue I had with it were the tuners. The three high strings would not stay tune after having it for two weeks and one of the tuners stripped out completely so I sent the guitar back. Otherwise it was a really awesome guitar. I love the way it felt in my hands and the pick ups were decent, if they could fix those issues, I’d buy it again.

Honestly this has the same on paper feature set as a toy guitar I have... But man is it much nicer for someone who wants a non toy guitar and for $400 it's a really good deal as it's a $200 with $200 worth of amp sims crafted into it... Also it sounds really good... Great review and I feel as a first practice guitar it will be great espeiclaly for those who want it to just pick up and play any time any where.

I have been eyeing this since it came out. I have the Nova Go SP1 acoustic-electric and love it. I got it to play on the couch, as you said, but also to keep in the car when I am out for quick busking. I pair it with my phone's Bluetooth, and I even get backing tracks through the guitar. Since I am much more of an electric player, this could fit that purpose as well. Cheers!

I often bring my acoustic laminate Martin out on walks with my two year old son. I have limited free time to play, so noodling on a guitar while walking/playing with my son helps me get a little bit of much needed practice in. I’d really like to woodshed riffs and tapping. That Enya’s lower action would make that more enjoyable than clunking around on an acoustic.

the only review for me yet in which the player didnt strum solos for 30minutes but actualy told something about pros n cons. Great review. I am a beginner who tries to play for 15 years but ends up being frustrated or stuck on my low quality guitars. The aesthetics are very good on this one being white or black version. 400 $ isnt cheap for a beginner but i am very intrigued since i didnt hear any difference between the sounds of your rigs vs naked, thats astonishing. THe thing is. having an acoustig guitar is too loud in a room but the need to sit on 2-3 cables on e-guitar is inconvenient. You just put the strap over your shoulder and can play any style and any distortion which is a blast.. now i simply imagine to have an automatic tunesetting configurable on the app and you get my bucks.

Just got around to viewing this video, but it’s a great one. Fantastic analysis of this instrument. I like to take a guitar in my RV when we go on trips, so I usually grab one that I’m not afraid to scratch-up and then use a little AmPlug with headphones. This guitar sounds like an even better solution. They also have an inexpensive acoustic/electric that I’d like to check out for the same purpose. Thank for the review!

Definitely a great travel guitar - no need for anything other than a charger for some usable sounds. Plus I really like the idea of the more compact body size and the tuning stability of the composite body. Maybe throw on a set of locking tuners and maybe some grip tape on the lower body (so it won't slide) and it'd be the take anywhere/everywhere guitar.

I have the Nova Go (the 35 inch carbon fiber shallow body acoustic electric) and have absolutely fallen in love with carrying it around and writing or just playing in a park. It's inexpensive and I don't care that much. I seldom charge it, and it's essentially a great travel guitar. It has a great niche it falls into. It's not my Martin, but it's perfect for just grabbing and playing anywhere. I have thought that it might be good for beginners if it were full size. I'm tempted to get the Sonic just to have an electric. Temped, but unsure.

I can't crank my Spark 40 amp and I was considering selling it since it offers more than I am interested in now. The goal was to get Bias FX afterwards for more flexibility but this would be a better option for my limited space and current level.

I wanted to circle back to this episode and explain that guitars are products that have evolved and will continue to evolve. See Rob Scallions "evolution of guitars" for a speedy, interesting bit of content on that note. In Electric GuitarLand, we havent seen much evolution. You can get a 70 year anniversary strat that is 90-95% of a 70 year old strat today, in fact, with some concessions on material availability and tooling upgrades that cannot be easily set back. So in broad strokes, we are overdue for change. That change will likely be using the 2/3rds of unused space on a guitar body to incorporate onboard pedal effects and a really tits speaker. For...30 years now, you could go buy a Fisher Price toy guitar with a speaker that makes toy noises, its a thing living in our headspace. The trick for real guitars that are not toys is nailing the speaker, and nailing the pedal effects AND tossing those features on an actual playable guitar with a neck that doesnt piss you off, reliably good fretwork, tuners, etc. So, enter Enya with molded (not forged-yet) carbon fiber bodies and necks who is using current chipsets and current speaker cones without really inventing new tech. Enya is not blowing minds with a clean room full of lab coated guitar scientists; theyre just using off the shelf tech and somewhat dated but still cool carbon fiber bodies/necks and the result IS an impressive, thoughtful improvement that will resemble the guitars of the future. The speaker and the effects are like my little Positive Grid Spark Go slapped into an unoffensive but workmanlike guitar that coincidentally does not warp into a banana if its hot one day and cold the next day. The result IS overall good and great even at 400 bucks. It is even *great* for a first guitar since you can sidestep the time suck and money suck of a starter amp and basic pedals. Nothing like a real amp, though, and Enya has poor brand recognition just like anyone with a 10 year old company does against 100+ year old companies. That is one of the important takeaways. I do think what Enya is doing will be standard, and that Fender/Gibson/XXX Big Brand manufacturers are doing us a disservice by not embracing. My crystal ball suggests that Enya may just turn out like the Toyota or Honda of guitars by building a cheep good instrument with options that make sense and that the established brands will slow roll themselves into playing catch-up. Overall, I like their guitar and their use of current tech. Its going to be cool when we have some sort of natural selection to determine what pedal effects are important enough to be onboard, and when actual labcoat guitar scientists wizard up a really impressive onboard speaker, though. That's where we are headed. Final thoughts are that *when Doctor Andre Fludd tells you a 400 dollar guitar is "not bad" and that hes going to make it his kick around guitar; thats a pretty good fuckin guitar*. You also probably own a Honda or a Toyota or someone that does, and while it doesnt have the same gloss as a Corvette or a Ferrari; those companies have become cultishly appreciated for their disruptively affordable good little cars. Enya is on to something. Footnote: glad to see the Doc getting more subs, getting more brands paying him for the opportunity to be run through his exceedingly scrutinous guitar breakdowns. This is a niche channel by a guy with hard earned talent PLUS the same amount of time in music college that i spent in law school, so its good to see the universe starting to pay the guy back more and more. Im also jazzed that Enya is making carbon fiber, affordable axes. Thanks for reading my dissertation, if you made it this far and ever come to Hilton Head then the beer is on me:)

I like the carbon fiber construction; I'd like to see more guitars made of carbon fiber, with high end features such as hardware and pickups vs the built-in electronics in this guitar. Yes, I know it's designed to be an all-in-one guitar. A carbon fiber headless guitar with floating trem, HH, coil split, Seymour Duncan or Fishman Fluence, richlite fretboard, etc. for under $1K...I'd buy it. FWIW, I have a Mooer Prime P2 (and S1) modeler that I can use with any of my guitars, it's small with headphones out, and they make a small amp too, plus I can use it with any of my guitars.

This would be brilliant to quickly pick up and use without having to set up (and warm up!) my amp etc for a quick practice or play off the cuff.

First of all, good video as always. Honest review even though it is sponsored. The guitar does seem pretty good for the price, definitely a good option for a bedroom guitarist or even for someone that plays for small groups of people. I would like to try one of these to play together with an acoustic guitarist in an open area, it would be cool, no need of an amp.

Fantastic sponsored review. I feel like I left knowing the whole truth. It's a matter of, "If the product has no upside, don't bother reviewing it." That thing is cool.

I built a self amped guitar recently, I’ve wondered how mine compares to this since I saw Tyler’s video.

I enjoyed the review, but I don't think I'd have any use for this guitar so I didn't want to enter the giveaway thing. It's good to see you making the giveaway international, though. Another excellent video.

I practice when I have downtime at work with a Yamaha GL 1 but i want something full scale but still portable. The built in amp/speaker is a nice feature.

I would use this guitar as a practice guitar. I took a few lessons when I was a teenager. I haven't picked up a guitar in almost thirty years and cannot remember anything I learned. I would like to learn to play again. I am now retired because of disability and now have the time to learn to play.

Have you tried the Ciari foldable travel guitar? Would definitely be curious on your opinion of the quality of that one.

I’d love to try one. There are a few folding guitar companies I’ve been intrigued by. Maybe I’ll reach out to a few.

@@andrefludd the Ciari is great! The fishman fluence P90’s version is undergoing a redesign based on some feedback, and it will be even better when they put them out again.

Been wanting to get a guitar with a practice amp for travel and just at home without needing the fuss of the PC as I'm an amp sim person. This has both built in one and has been one I have been eyeing on since seeing it, just don't have the money for one.

So is it a carbon fiber reinforced injection molded plastic? Carbon is supposed to have great resonance.
