Dollar Tree sells pegboard bins now...I think they only come in white but you could get some Kryon plastic paint and easily make them whatever color you want.

to solve that matt backing issue throw some 3M command strips (Mount them with the removal tab facing in so they can be easily removed from the drawer surface in the future by giving you room to pull them on plane with the drawer surface. You need about two inches of free space (voice of experience here) on the underside of the front corners of the matts. they are velcro but both parts can be removed if you ever need to. best solution ever. Another idea I have seen are those super strong magnets in the corners.. I have pets so I am always worried about one getting loose and swallowed by pets or kids so I go wit hthe command strips. You can always use the industrial velcro squares if you never plan on removing the Velcro base from the drawer surface. Eitehr way this allows you to change the matts if you ever need to or to remove them for cleaning (Grease, oil, coke a cola spill by GF / SO? LOL 😁😁

I immediately thought of command strips as well when he mentioned that pet peeve.

@@gmailbatman Same. Even said it out loud to the monitor, lol. "Dude, command strips!" His idea about magnets in the corners are an even better solution IMO. Quicker, easier, anytime remove/clean/replace solution.

Thoroughly enjoyed this , Andres. As you know , I have a maiden workbench waiting to be pimped and you’ve given me some much needed inspo! For your tools , I have two recommendations. I see you’re rocking DeWalt too - they look awesome on a black pegboard. Another option is a tall cabinet with rolling doors. I use that to keep the rest of my tools as well as the the incoming and outgoing tech !
@andresvidoza2 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot for watching brother!! I definitely need to take a look at the tall cabinet... I think that's going to be even better. The dewalt tools tho take too much space. I rather keep things that I use all the time on the pegboard!
@PatrickRambles2 жыл бұрын
@@andresvidoza Of course 😅. I meant on a separate pegboard. I stuck mine onto one of those black ikea pegboards :)

The first thing I imagined was a black rolling two-door cabinet with slightly smoky/dark glass right next to this. Wooden shelves inside, strip lights installed at the back either under each shelf or running the length of the cabinet. And then I saw your comment and got a huge dose of validation dopamine, lol.

Gerard, if you're considering this as a desk rather than an off-to-the-side organization, consider that sitting in front of it on a stool will mean you're hunched over to reach past your knees to get to the keyboard. Ow. I've got a motorized sit/stand desk from Autonomous that'll easily lift 300lbs 51" into the air. I've laid on it and raised it all the way up. It'll easily handle your beefy PC case, a few monitors, and all the different tablets, peripherals, and whatever else you want to throw on it. Plus you'll have room for your knees and legs underneath. :) I've had it for 5 years and it's still going strong. I easily recommend the brand. (I only wish they'd offered the L-shaped desktops back when I got mine!)

@PWingert19662 жыл бұрын
I have also taken my tool chest on site for Lan parties or building network installation. I bring a couple of kryptonite chain bike lock and loop it through each handle and usually attach to a water tor drain pipe when I set up. If it doesn't reach both aI run a chain between them under the cabinet. Its too low for easy access with an angle grinder to cut the chain. (Tool chests can disappear from worksites very easily. They just seem to float away! I also have a hotspot WAP that I can connect to the local network and a security camera mounted on it as well in a discreet non-visible place that give me full view of it when I am away from it with motion senor reporting enabled. A small UPS in the doorcabinet can power it if needed. . the Kryptonites also make goo tiedowns for transport too.
