I was in Bandit Troop. Came back from the 2004 deployment, went to selection, and ended up in 10th Group until I retired a few years ago.

One book recommendation following on from the great ones in the podcast. The year that broke politics by Luke Nicher is superb. On the 1968 US election.

Thumbs Up if U Agree, We ALL love BRCC & Evan, TODAY should of been Evan talking about TRUMP WINNING. THIS VIDEO WAS RECORDED 21 DAYS AGO ? Why ONLY aired today. Why have a podcast 21 days behind. I could see a week behind, but no reason for 3 weeks behind.

I was an Australian soldier in Northern Iraq (Giri-Pit-Valley) in 1991and my one sobering memory was when we were suddenly told by the C.O. that we were leaving. Our employed translator was fucking sobbing when we told him we were leaving. He was fucking in total shock. He thought we were all there in Northern Iraq to help create the Kurdish State.WE came we helped, we kicked out loads of wandering fucked up shocked Iraqi soldiers who wandered around Northern Iraq like gangsters. Though because we were suddenly leaving the Iraqi thugs would be back. On our day of leaving my vehicle waS chased by loads of Iraq people, mainly women and kids who suddenly realised that we were going because our base camp was collapsed in front of them. The chased us down the road weeping. It was fucking awful. My section had pooled together the few American dollars we were issued with when first in country. We gave the dollars to our translator as a way of putting off the guilt. Those Kurds running after us as we left was just fucking terrible. Never forget it.
