It's remarkable these days to see a musician carry the tune at a proper distance from the microphone. I was impressed by the band's ability to stay within themselves. This performance was far and away the standout of the evening.

😆 I don't think that's what I meant to type but it was 7 years ago so who knows... Upon rewatching, I have to say it still moves me (minus the nausea) and I'd love to see a concert in that cavern.

Beautiful. This song means something different to most people, its one of my favorite songs with few lines, and I have elicited, no ive forced friends to give me their interpretations. Theyve all been different yet the one thing everyone agrees on is theynlove the song and whatever it means to them.

I question all thirteen naysayers on this thread, could you, would you, in all your days ever produce such exquisite sounds as this, why in all eternity do you bother down thumbing such a one of a kind performance, do you honesty believe it could have been done better... ?

+paulsullivanable It's very common, if not good practice, to always watch your lead when you are singing harmony. Take a look at Patty Loveless and Vince Gill at George Jones' service at the Opry. His bass sings harmony with him on this piece every time, she doesn't. Hence her being a professional and ensuring that she's moving with Bird during the harmony. It's not politics or pettiness, it's just being a damn good harmony singer.
@paulsullivanable8 жыл бұрын
fine. she still hurts the performance. in the way that a kindergarten teacher would coach students. it's unbecoming of a professional like him.
