Although Andrew Lloyd Webber's CINDERELLA is one of the mostly hotly anticipated new musicals set to open at the Gillian Lynne Theatre later this year, we still don't know who will be appearing in the cast even though they have already started rehearsals!
Thankfully, some super sleuthing on the internet and some leaked rehearsal room pictures means we can piece together a few pieces of info and I'm bringing you everything we know about the full cast so far today!

Am I watching the whole BC saga years after having only heard the music and then seeing the abrupt closing? Yes. I adore Carrie, so I follow her on here and was just pseudo-reminded that I hadn´t seen the rest of your videos about this show. I am an American and do not know all these people. However, understudies have to train with the main cast. They have to be just as good as the main cast so may be that is why so many people. Love you vids.

The history I heard was that JCS was the first to be a concept album because the idea of a musical about Jesus wasn't selling well to british producers and audiences. When they released the album it did very well in the US charts so they moved to open the production on broadway first.

I think the Cinderella poster of her a$$ or dre$$ looks like the heart in the Witches of Eastwick upside down. Never played Broadway (I am in NYC) but I love the cast album from 2000 UK.

Hey love your videos re Cinderella, well saw the show last week, I still don’t know how I feel, it’s……………. Ok. It’s not great, it’s a show u can watch. The story is ok, but it’s trying to be very politically correct. Would say the best songs are already released, the remaining songs nothing special. The album is now out so you can see what you thing.love he hear an update on your thoughts.

The Cinderella musical looks absolutely terrible. All the lyrics and the music are cringey. I feel bad for anyone involved in this. Can't believe this guy made great stuff like Phantom ++, and yet he makes this shit..? You couldn't pay me to see this.

I'm feeling sceptical too but maybe the staging and plot will elavate the "meh" of the music. Plus the target audience may be the sort that won't like phantom (though I personally don't understand why you wouldn't)

@@ajmalaika1287 I don't know, for me, staging (even if it's great), won't really save a musical with bad lyrics/songs/music/pacing. As you say, the plot could make it better, but as the songs tell the story in a musical, I still think the bad lyrics mean the plot won't be incredible. From what they've released so far of video clips of Cinderella and "the baker", it seems very panto (but like they didn't intend it to be panto. Cringe.) And I love Carrie Hope Fletcher's voice, but she hasn't got the best acting chops, so as the lyrics aren't great, I don't think her acting is good enough to help salvage this plot, no matter how good or bad it is. Now I've just sounded extremely negative, sorry, but the marketing is all over the place, and the feel of it is all over the place, in my opinion.

@@herreguda6199 Ohhh good point. I am finding it really hard to piece together the plot myself from what we have and my guesses aren't as groundbreaking as advertised. We'll have to wait and see

Hi John, thanks for the feedback - not sure what I'm able to improve on based on your comments (in fairness I do flap my hands wildly but to be completely honest this symptom pre dated isolation). You have wished me luck which is very appreciated and kind but I'd encourage you to uphold that same level of kindness throughout your comments. I'm very grateful to have a comments section on this video that is otherwise populated with constructive or mostly very positive comments for context, I could envision being very disheartened if the only response had been you characterising my speaking as 'whinging'. You're of course welcome to dislike me as much as you see fit but you needn't feel obligated to tell me how much you do, we're all human beings and such 'unsubstantiated' negativity feels needless.
