ABOUT THE LRB
Since 1979, the London Review of Books has stood up for the tradition of the literary and intellectual essay in English. Each issue contains up to 15 long reviews and essays by academics, writers and journalists. There are also shorter art and film reviews, as well as poems and a lively letters page.
A typical issue moves through political commentary to science or ancient history by way of literary criticism and social anthropology. So, for example, an issue can open with a piece on the rhetoric of war, move on to reassessing the reputation of Pythagoras, follow that with articles on the situation in Iraq, the 19th-century super-rich, Nabokov’s unpublished novel, how saints got to be saints, the life and work of William Empson, and an assessment of the poetry of Alice Oswald.

Whereabouts in this video is the ' why Craig Wright's Satoshi Nakamoto proof failed'?
@bobdobb9017
@bobdobb9017 2 ай бұрын
Exactly. Craig’s proof video came out after the Australian IRS was negotiating with him, and trying to squeeze him for more than he owed, so he was forced to, and naturally had stress due to it. But I also saw one of Craig’s talks after his proof and he has the same “stressful” attitude, it’s simply Wright’s demeanor. This ridiculous camera man is posing as a human behavior specialist, and does a very poor job. There is a lot of vapor reporting like this video.

The whole point of bitcoin was that we no longer have to trust in Satoshi or hold him up as some figurehead. The network verifies trust between people. Yet people are obsessed by the person and missing the message.

He clearly has personality issues when dealing with people in the real world, so it shows that he's better off if he stays away from human contact. This always happens when people try to determine truth from asbergers people. They think the question, "Are you Satoshi?" is simple. If you created a separate identity which is not you, then technically you are not that identity, so of course you have to process the question to think about what is actually being asked. Yet, when I ask people why plurality voting works better than Condorcet voting, they don't know how to answer even though it is simple math. That's because people suck at simple things like math and they are great at paying attention to complex undependable information like 2,000 movements on someone's face when they are talking.

Something doesn't make sense about Craig Wright claiming to be Satoshi. We know that Satoshi went out of his way to keep himself anonymous. If Craig Wright really is Satoshi, why does he now all of a sudden want everyone to know who he is? It just doesn't make sense. Here's what I think the real story is. Craig was part of a team of people who called themselves "Satoshi Nakamoto". There is no Satoshi as an individual. It's the name of the group. One by one, all the members of this group die from various causes. The last one remaining from this group is Craig. Now that all the other people who have knowledge that Satoshi is the name of their group are dead, Craig is free to proclaim himself as Satoshi, without anyone from the original group around to challenge him.

Ted Nelson's explanation of Satoshi is more convincing. As a free thinking innovator, Ted understands the Revolutionary Mind. Sadly, the revolution is caught up in its own value, and so cannot compute a structure for de-individuated value. Imagine an algorithm for human valuation; there is no possible way for its writer NOT to pre-suppose their own value in the outcome. This is Cryptocurrency: only those with enough unenlightened faith in the religion shall prosper by its spread. Now that the Government in the US is putting tax markers on the "unregulated, decentralized" economy of math, we'll see how the Libertarian Digital Phenotype evolves. Suspicion: this is how bad faith actors in our society are monetizing bad behavior and weaponizing it politically, with no trace. Look for a repetition of the patterns of ISIS social media marketing, and then Anti-Vax. Renee DiResta did not consider a dark profit motive for spreading behavior and disinformation strategically. Here's what most of your normies and maybe Craig Wright don't understand about the legal definition of "Person". A person can be more than one individual. With that in mind, the courts may treat the name Satoshi Nakamoto as an express trust where Craig Wright is the Grantor and the Developers the trustees. In an express trust, there isn't a written contract. The contract is implied. The trustees have legal ownership of the name while Craig Wright may claim Grantor/Beneficiary privileges in a court of competent jurisdiction. What Craig Wright needs to do is find his keys.

That's his proof.

I can understand if CSW is SN and behaved this way. I can Imagine the pressure he had after his home was raided, Silk Road, and all the sneaky people in bitcoin, banksters etc.. Satoshi himself saying if you don't get it or believe it, he doesn't have time to explain it. That could also means, Satoshi doesn't care, OR he thinks himself, as not important in bitcoin, as a System. Now Satoshi already gone, and tbh I never seen anyone has such a deep knowledge of bitcoin more than CSW. The so called bitcoin experts, many of them are only entertainer, know nothing about bitcoin. And it's a smart move by CSW to patenting most of bitcoin technology that most people don't understand yet. Now CSW and his company nChain, can comfortably growth the original bitcoin without interference from stupid and greedy people's of OG`s bitcoin. Expect to see big development in BitcoinSV in 2020. Now it doesn't really matter, if CSW is Satoshi Nakamoto or not, but I'd say 🙏 Thank you to Satoshi Nakamoto for creating bitcoin.

Story of crypto: A brief summary of crypto in the making. In 2008 2 guys arguing in youtube about world bank and financial crisis. One guy secretly reading their serious conversation. This guy has no youtube account and cant comment at the moment. So he created an account. Satoshi came from a famous game in early 2000. Naka came from a flash of light while his looking up. Moto came from a famous cellphone brand advertisement, "hello Moto". Satoshi said to these 2 guys, "why not create a peer to peer transaction. no need for authority of the banks." Then one of those 2 guys ask what kind of transaction. Satoshi reply in the comment. "like Q and R codes you see when you buy stuff at the store. Bar code that is. Satoshi is not a science genius but a youtube commentator who like to comment about the facts stated. Then it trigger something in these 2 guys. The true pioneer of crypto are those 2 guys, but satoshi is just a commentator. Satoshi just comment because he suffered depression in 2008 when U.S.A declared financial crisis. So satoshi didn't get to finish a degree. Satoshi move from one province to another just to work for 8 months. 3 years passed satoshi noticed bitcoin in the T.V and he said: i will buy it cause i know it has a potential. but sad to think now satoshi did not have any bitcoin. satoshi just finish 2 vocational course. And satoshi want to finish another vocational course but financial problem arises. Blockchain can be used to start a car, or even facial recognition. Pretty pompous and/or ignorant to spend 9 months with Satoshi Nakamoto and come away saying things like "and maybe Craig Wright will get some credit for BitCoin too". It really just shows how awful of a reporter this guy is. His ability to write stories is excellent, but his research is sub-basement level, so he should stick to writing fiction. When he looks back on this, it will be a source of embarrassment for his work, and he will feel shame. Dr. Craig Wright solved the Byzantine General's problem in a way no one even investigated-- using economics and incentives. Everyone else tried to tackle it with code or cryptography. He had "help" in the way a construction foreman doesn't actually hammer every nail when building a skyscraper, but BitCoin is entirely his unique design. Of course it borrows from previous (mostly failed) ideas, but Craig cites some of them in his white paper, and in other places he gives inspirational credit (see BitCoin Doco interview in which he credits a 2005 Triple Entry Accounting paper). His story has been interpreted differently, and accentuated differently, but the story has been the same. He designed and was the fountainhead for Bitcoin, and allowed others to work on it with him. To this very day he still has to push back against those that try to change his invention. Sad. Sad as this reporter's research skills.
