Although he owns it, he certainly views himself as just one of many custodians with an important role to ensure the theatre is well used, and well maintained.

My first experience of the theatre was at the Alhambra. Jack and the beanstalk. Mid to late 50s. The impression of the theatre 🎭 the safety curtain. The opening of the curtains. The orchestra playing in the pit. Has stayed with me. Is the atmosphere of the inside of the theatre. Wonderful. I don't like going to theatres where there is no stage or curtains or a safety curtain it's the atmosphere. Although for the first time I went to the royal Albert hall to see sunset boulevard on stage. That was amazing. I just love the interiors of old theatres. I thank you for posting this and showing us around a wonderful theatre.

Let’s support, please, the youngest conductor of symphonic orchestra (20 y.o.) who used to be that soloist 10 years ago. There're a lot of videos of concerts from Tchaikovsky Conservatory on his KZbin channel. I understand this entirely. I saw Tommy Steele here in 1969 so I was also 8- It is the most magical theatre and I love being in the audience, and on the few occasions I have got backstage, and particularly up into the fly tower, I was entranced. It is compact, magestic and it embraces both performer and audiencein equal measure. Also, I love the great velvet curtains and feel a little cheated when I go to a show and they have been removed!

ALW - your shows were the gateway drug for my love of the theatre and of theatres; thus your effect on my life has been utterly profound, birthing both my passion and my career. And I know there are a myriad others similarly impacted. Thank you.

Imagine going to the LP as a child, sat there up in the circle watching your favourite act of said time, not knowing that one day you’ll be the owner of that theatre. There is something quite nostalgic and magical about that! I have a hunch, the palladium is in very capable hands. Kudos Sir Andrew, you’re doing a grand job old chap ❤️

I love this so much! Thank you for taking care of it. I can't wait to be back there again. There is nothing like standing on a stage like that, no matter who you are! When an audience member gets a chance to stand on the stage and see the backstage and all that goes on, it can really transform the experience! Especially for those new to the theatre. Love! Love! Love!

I've never been in an empty theatre but I have been in a church and have experienced the feeling that Andrew mentioned. I believe that it is the positive energy that the building has absorbed throughout the years. I always feel calm in church. As Andrew said everything he does at the Palladium is for the generations that follow.

WOW! Wish I could've seen Michael either in The Wizard of Oz, (because I am SO close to this take having read the first book and watches the film over 2300x) there at the Palladium or especially in BARNUM because I've been in love with the circus all my life and nearly ran away with the Barnum and Bailey Circus the last time they came through in '78 and I was 8 yrs old. I WEEP knowing I was never ans will never get to see Michael Crawford live! Hell, just to meet him would be something. Thanks for this tour Andrew. And you mentioned something, in one of your other videos; about inviting me to chat in Hangouts since you enjoy interacting with fans. If so, please let me know and thank you for this. 🙂👍

I'm with H. I had no idea ALW owned it. I started performing at 12 years old. I'm an old retired man now but from that young age to the present day, when I go into a live theatre (not a movie theater), there is a palpable feeling of being in a sacred space of some sort.
