It took me a minute to realize how profound Seth’s statement was: “I expected this beautiful romance and I got that…” It wasn’t so long ago that this sentiment would have been replaced by the same questions and concerns that plagued Brokeback Mountain. What a wonderful comment from Seth.

I have come to the conclusion after watching this film last night that the Oscars are just absolutely worthless. I've heard so many stories of members not even bothering to watch a good chunk of the movies and Scott's performance is leaps and bounds ahead of every performer in 2023. Would go as far to say that its one of the most rich, human and beautiful performances of the last decade that will stay with me for a long time.
