I have come to the conclusion after watching this film last night that the Oscars are just absolutely worthless. I've heard so many stories of members not even bothering to watch a good chunk of the movies and Scott's performance is leaps and bounds ahead of every performer in 2023. I saw this movie a day before my fathers 1 year death anniversary and when I tell you, I was gripping my seat for dear life to not full on ugly cry. The entire theater you could near sniffles/contained sobs. This is a movie that will always stay with me and help me process my own emotions when it comes to dealing with loss and love.
