Destiny, thanks for calling out the importance of adversity for developing strength as a person. I teach people to regain independence and learn to travel around without help after they lose their vision, (its called Orientation and Mobility) and I always tell students that stress and adversity are neurologically necessary to learning a skill particularly when its one that you plan to trust your life with. The brain can't undergo plasticity (physical change and development of the brain) without undergoing stress so adversity is an opportunity to grow and develop and the harder and more stressful it is the more change that is possible; the trick is to make sure you get strength from it instead of weakness. I always tell people that if I send them on a route and they don't experience difficulty they need to overcome and think through then I failed as a teacher in choosing the assignment or route

Character attacks are completely valid against Tate, who presents himself as a certain character. He claims to be a "traditional alpha male", as mentioned by Paul. Except his entire life is the opposite of a "traditional alpha male". He's not married, no kids, he is the exact opposite of everything he claims to be. When he is claiming to have a certain type of character, and does not live up to that expectation... Calling him out on that is completely reasonable, even if it's a "character attack", because the entire reason he became popular is by lying about his character.

50:40 - sneako, a 23 year old skinny man who's done nothing remotely challenging with his life proceeds to question why other people are so mentally weak. Like dude, you make your money talking on the internet, how can you possibly comment on what real people are doing with their lives? None of these men are even particularly masculine, none of them do traditionally masculine work; they're nothing but entertainers, and the fact that they seem oblivious to just how little their behaviours align with their ideology is just insane to me.

No, Andrew Tate isn’t saying he’s made mistakes, he still represents all of his current statements. KSI & Logan we’re both much younger, and have dramatically changed, so yes I believe their redemption arc, if or when Andrew Tate changes his rhetoric, opinions of him should also change. It’s ironic how they say he shouldn’t be judged on his speech, then proceed to judge others on theirs.

I'm not at all a fan of the Paul brothers so I'm not defending them, but they're being pretty inconsistent and a bit hypocritical throughout this discussion this time. -Logan is bad for flipping his opinion of Tate so easy... meanwhile they're completely flipping on Logan solely over his opinion of Tate -He's gonna see that the left will attack on him over nothing.... while they're washing their hands of him over one thing he said about one topic -"I was a fan of Logan until this Tate thing".... but "Logan just makes shit content where all they do is joke and talk about nothing" -"it's bad that they sell porn".... but "It's totally legit Top G alpha-grindset when Tate and Adam22 do it" -"It's bad that the one guy is with a pornstar".... "but again, it's totally cool and legit that Tate ran a porn business, literally creating the thing we say is bad for society in the first place" "...also it's totes okay that Adam22 is with a pornstar (and _is,_ himself, a porstar)... because we like him" Sneako also conveniently ignoring that Adam's dad was literally pardoned for voter fraud by Bill goddamn Clinton his hilarious lmao. A few times it seemed like they realized that they were being inconsistent. They'd randomly catch themselves attempt to hand wave it away the hypocrisy out of nowhere, as if to preempt someone pointing it out. They didn't actually distinguishing between the two.

@@DoubleO88 That is a fair argument as well though, but that's definitely oversimplified. There's more to it than that, so I didn't want to write a bunch out to explain, but they _are_ also ignoring a lot of extra details and factors to try to equivocate "Logan did a bad thing in the past" to then shoehorn that into "therefore it's the same as Tate". They're not really comparable situations, even though I agree that Logan's was bad. Just the fact that Logan's was a controversial event, whereas Tate's is/was an ongoing and continuous and consistent "issue" is a significant factor if you're going to compare the two. Just to clarify, I'm not for banning either of them. I'm just sharing some thoughts about inconsistencies popping up that were bothering me while listening through this discussion.
@Fabian_zerpa2 жыл бұрын
U missed the point. Mile maljak was attacking the fact that he had a webcam business but the defending argument was that he’s a hypocrite for saying that about tate when he promotes porn as well

@@Fabian_zerpa His criticism of Tate wasn't that porn and camgirls are bad though. It was that it's hypocritical for Tate to do because it goes against what he espouses (he was listing several things Tate is built on that go against his "traditionalist message"). I really don't know why Destiny doesn't push back on certain points, like right in the beginning where Sneako talks about how Logan did bad things too, idk why Destiny doesn't talk about how Tate isn't actually trying to change whereas Logan did, Sneakos comparison is obviously terrible yet Destiny doesn't push back :/ Edit: 1. I think it would effective if Destiny pushed back against really bad logic, that wouldn't make him a screechy sjw. 2. Logan doing worse doesn't matter, the idea is that he is trying to change whereas Tate isn't meaning he isn't even trying for a second chance, perhaps this wasn't clear in my comment. 3. What Tate did bad was his pyramid scheme along with him saying that women can't drive, his racial agitation and now recently his basic conservative trans talking points about "oh the children, they will get infected!!!" It's mostly just level 1 conservative talking points; it's bad but idk if I would have banned him but I certainly would understand if Logan Paul wouldn't want to platform him though. My main point is that Sneako's logic is trash and that Destiny should push back more. 4. Did Destiny know that he was gonna talk about Tate before coming onto the podcast? How can he not know anything about Andrew Tate and debate about him, he's actually pulling a Vaush. 5. Some of the replies are so dumb that I'm just not even gonna.

Nowadays, we have a guy named Destiny which is a girl's name. MJ chad, named after a famous homosexual. And Sneako, named after Nike, the goddess of victory. the plight of men is real but we also have come a long way. during WW1 when PTSD was not a thing yet, the term shell-shocked came into the lexicon. They were initially denounced as weak and cowardly men, the veterans who suffered from this condition. Shown a simple military hat that reminded them of their service, they uncontrollably shook and shake terribly. During that time, warfare involved outdated concepts of "honor and character", and sent their young men into human wave attacks against a meat grinder. Barbed wire, machine guns, and artillery cared little for honor and character. If you were a male and stayed at the homeland, you were given a White Feather, a symbol of cowardice.

True, but it's interesting to notice that ptsd on that level of display and noticeability really started with ww1. The use of loud explosive weaponry, like machine guns and smgs, caused havoc in the minds of the soldiers. The speed and sounds of all of that would cause your body to vibrate. Memories are just records of the past, so it'll trigger muscle memory. This definitely became more understood as people fought with guns and could relate to a small extent. This is why some theorize that sword and knife battles are the best way for war to occur.

I always thought that Paul filming the suicide person wasn't actually that big of a deal. It's more-so that his demeanor was disrespectful as well _just like all his other videos._ I never liked the guy, and even still don't, but I think showing what showed is just a taboo thing that shouldn't be so strongly disliked by people, and that even with his bad behavior the reaction of people was overblown. 40:00 just for clarity if anyone reads this KSI was watching clips of Tate and at the beginning said he agreed but when Tates talking points got more extreme he disavowed them in the same video
@OmegaPuddle2 жыл бұрын
And just to add further clarity... The video that KSI watched was a hate video of Tate with clips taken progressively more and more out of context to "sound" insane. A particular example was Tate retelling a story of when he was in France and there was some guy dancing in a nightclub.... KSI was like "whats wrong with dancing? *offended face" Because the clip had edited out that it was a man NAKED dancing in the middle of the club, which is definitely weird. So even KSI's reaction to Tate was based off manipulated content. And we saw this happen time and time again, influencers reacting to a haters reaction to Tates manipulated content instead of Tates actual videos and interviews in full. So yea... the barn doors swing all the way, doesnt mean you have to let the horses out. It takes the bare minimum due diligence to be a good person and assume positive context to a 20 second clip, instead of assuming the worst possible insinuations to jump on a hate bandwagon.

I had heard his debates before and thought that he was a rational person yet he doesn't offer any pushback when fresh says that they allow women to say KAM and when we say women should stay in homes it's bad.many people can already see something wrong with that statement. Many people in the left are very much against the kill all men sentiment and the few that agree are just delusional, and to add fresh uses a sentiment held by a minority of women to justify his misogynistic takes on women as a whole.that does not help in anyway. destiny should have said something about that, yet says nothing.i will say it again, destiny please pushback against these delusional men more.

Women are property is not a misogynistic comment especially when said in the context that Tate made them. To explain how would require a lot of typing so I would suggest seeing Lyah heilpern's vid on it. Making the claim woman are bad drivers is hardly influencing the youth.
