The mmr debate summed up "I want to have fun" vs "Im incredibly salty and dont want fun or anyone to have fun around me bc I think everyone thinks like I do"

KZbin is actually *way* less strict monetization and regulation wise than regular TV, at least in the US. Broadcast television is extremely regulated.

My experience is from running a college radio station where we were subject to FCC regulation and holy damn yeah they were strict. Profanity was actually not allowed, among other things- rule of thumb was "if it offends a NIMBY suburban white mom, it can't go on air"

18:00 Yeah, a lot of horror feels like edgier social commentary or PSAs. I don't mind those at all, though that I feel that a lot of the tropes and conventions hold it behind. The androgynous villains, Christianity being a real and objectively good force, slashers hurting people with plenty of cameras/cellphones visible, etc. Psychological and supernatural stuff look really silly to me, especially after the 🍕 gate and q stuff. The only aspect I like about horror is that they are essentially tense action films with realism in mind. Injuries remain persistent and villains are competent/smart.
