Andrew, I have been in business for 38 - years ... and what I really appreciate is how you are able to deal with stress. Regardless what it is, like myself you work it out with no temper or swearing. 🤬 And that says a lot about your character. Well done ! 👍

Superior signs, I respect what you are saying and would have agreed with you for most of my life. This comment is mostly for others to see. I would not cuss or go nuts on camera but to tell the truth, the older I get the more frustrated I get with stressful stuff while working, especially if it's hot. Quite a few foul words fall from my mouth too haha. I am one of the most honest, trustworthy people you would ever meet. I can't think of a time I ever took advantage of anyone, so your statement is not always true. Guess there are unicorns out there, now I just wish I could find a female unicorn lol. Love his vids btw!

@@lifeonamarble961 what you say may be true. But your use of foul language is ok with you but why should others have to put up with what satisfies you. I would not want anyone with a foul mouth around me, especially working for me. Every tub sits on its own bottom. Respect others.

Jeez paul, go away please. I even said this comment was for others to view so they know not everyone is so uptight. I do not use foul language in front of others, mostly when I am alone ok? Chill paul and stop being so haughty. I was simply pointing out that people can have very high character and use some choice words from time to time.

I've been driving a six wheeler for over twenty years, so for what it is worth while unloading an excavator, let the bucket do all the work. When the front of the tracks hit the end of the deck continue forward and lower yourself onto the ramp. this prevents sliding, wear and tear on the rear and ramps. It allows you to also reposition the machine if it is not strait and most importantly its safe. love the videos

Built a quarry 2 winters ago , it was really fun , there was an old old existing pit where they used donkey carts and hand chiselers to make big cubed stones for buildings , but we turned it into a serious quarry , makes about 350k Ton a year for now with 2 cones and a primary for the asphalt plant I ran for 7 years , I finally left this summer and love being back in machines , Good channel fun to watch someone else do it 😂👍🏽

With all the rain we in the Northeast get that blue rock shale is just gonna crumble and fill back in again. Typical Labrador Retriever goes right for the water first chance they get, lol. Like you, I never had a rig that my best friend couldn't ride in! Lab's like water and just the fact the "He" knows he is going with is something that you will remember for the rest of your life. You can see the love in his big brown eyes. Ah, good times and exhaust... well it's time you bought some more pipe so you don't cook anything else. I thought plugged filters till you showed those lines then I was thinking did he kink a line but when you raised the hood on the eskavator and felt around then I knew it wasn't new enough to be "fly by wire". heat is always your enemy unless its snowing and your wet and cold. This is where doing your own maintenance shows the time that you have invested. Great video

This was really interesting, Andrew. I never would've thought one could dig down to the bedrock there or imagine how attractive it would be once the rock was removed. Where I live you can get good money for those huge flat slabs you were unloading with your dump truck. Great video. I hope you resolved the issue with your throttle.

As far as I can tell, nobody responded to the one question you asked! I'm no engineer, but it looks to me like the water from the dam, through the canal, would have lost too much head by the time it reached the mill to be useful for hydroelectric generation. You could have a low-output generator at the dam itself (set up a millrace from the crest of the dam face to the bottom of the dam and put the generator at the bottom), but the mill site is only a few feet higher than the river or canal outlet that runs past it, so there is no height differential to generate power. Or so it looks to me. You say they did previously have a generator at the mill, so maybe it's doable. The economics are just what you suggest: the cost of installation and maintenance on the generator, vs. the value of the power it outputs. I dunno - maybe.

That blue stone is tough stuff. I live in Arizona where most of the hard stuff is volcanic and for some reason it has little strength. It is just good for decorative landscaping. The only flat stone is sand stone, not suitable for driveways or foundations. It is used mostly for patio work.
