I don’t find Underhill as reckless as day Thomas from Wales with the tackle on McCarthy, which I think was no arms and extremely dangerous. Head a little off and you’re asleep. Also could lead to a career ending knee injury

I dont think tackles where somebody is a sitting duck, i.e stretching above their head to catch a ball or returning to the ground after a jump, count. They’re tackles any player worth their salt should mop up.

Stephen knew he was going to be ran over by a train, yet he not only saved a try in an impossible situation, he forced a knock-on on top of that. How can you better that tackle with that outcome and that much handicap in weight difference?

@@no9scrum Look up the last Whistle Watch, Nigel Owens explains this very situation. And we can agree he knows the rules and their applications better than you or I do. He said if Aki were already on the ground, then he's out of the game and he's not allowed to make a tackle. But this is not what happened; he kneed on the ground in the process of making a tackle, which is allowed.
