In this episode, we talk about things like comparison, learning how to do 'adult' things, finding a mentor, and LOTS more. We wish we knew half of this stuff when we were entering adulthood, but you live and you learn! Hope you enjoy it!

You are YOUNG!! Remember age is just a number and “growing up” is optional. If you remain active - mentally and physically - you will feel young!!

Amen ! It needs to start in school. Learning about credit as well. Basics of living on your own and what normal monthly expenses can add up to be. Kids in school need to know they need to focus on what career they want so they can live the way they want to.

As an "older" person (58) it's much harder to embrace the 'don't compare' concept because we have lived with that for the majority of our lives and the feelings of being "less than" are so ingrained into our psyche that it is difficult to know how to let go of that

All good advice. Don’t look now, but you two are MENTORS and this platform is a great way to share and give advice. There’s always things we can learn from, no matter what your age is. So my advice is ; be willing to listen.

This was so spot on! I’m the same age as both of you and each one of these things I think about every so often. All are so true. This needs to be a book! Things I wish I knew right now. Things I wish I knew as a newlywed. Both of those would be beneficial.

Great content! You two are so smart! I wish I had 1/2 this knowledge about life at your age. Keep it coming, I’m a busy hairstylist and I always tell my younger generation girls to follow you, I’ve Been married for 38 years and when a client asks me how I’ve done it…I hand it to you guys!

A rating? Okay! ~Only because you asked! ~ If you want to know how many stars for Shawn & Andrew, look up into a night sky shimmering with stars & start counting! Absolutely all of your content is 💯%truth & I deeply appreciate your authenticity! Shawn, I absolutely appreciate your sharing the contrast between your experience in receiving your silver medal & the gold! THAT right there was yet another example amongst countless examples of your ‘treasure~filled’ content! Andrew, my formal studies were in early childhood development! Totally, I love your explanation of sometimes “holding loosely” with our children! Although my children are now adults, this reminder was a timely one for me today! Thank you for what you are doing to change the world… for the better! ✨

I have always mentained women are beef cherokee at 25, the sooner one realises youth fades and your character becomes more and more important.

Some things are beyond our control... or are they? Yes, if I was healthier I would have been a better mother raising my children. I developed fibromyalgia (chronic pain, chronic fatigue) 25 years ago. My children are 26 and 29. I think I could have done better, but developing fibromyalgia wasn't a choice. It wasn't because I wasn't taking care of myself that I developed it. Because in reality, we don't know what causes it. Could it be a delayed result of my abusive first marriage? Possibly. But I don't know. I just know I didn't choose this illness and the life that has come with it. Maybe I never would have developed this illness had I made better choices (health/mental health) when I was younger. Don't let someone else hurt your health. Though, again, no idea whether that past was a contributing factor to fibromyalgia.

I could tell you about the renting & mortgage question without credit but you should check out Rachel Cruze's (Dave's daughter) youtube channel for answers. She's around your age and teaches this. Otherwise, great episode!!

As an older person that's a widow I agree on everything you suggested. I would love to here the take of this from an older couple/single person's eyes. "Things I wish I would've or should've known or done before now". Blessings!

You two are not old. In fact I didn’t realize you were in your 30’s. I thought you both were still in your 20’s. Age is just a number. You’re only as old as you feel.
