Silent watcher here. Watching the more recent videos, it’s so apparent the growth in Andrew. He’s still the silly Andrew, but the depth that he goes to in speaking his mind and how he isn’t afraid to be emotional- it’s just beautiful.

From chasing Shawn in college to the NFL to starting a media empire from nothing to ANW to getting your pilot’s license and now finishing up a PHD all the while having a wonderful marriage and raising 3 kids. I like the playfulness and senses of humor you two clearly have naturally as part of your marriage. I chuckled during the emphasis on what a good TEAM you are and how much TEAMWORK goes into making everything possible. Reminded me of the movie ‘The Graduate’ and the scene at the Zoo where she’s explaining to Dustin Hoffman’s character about her new fiancé …. all this passionate undercurrent always just about to explode between the two of them and this fiancé, clearly less passion, more businesslike ‘makes good sense to get married’ flavor. So Dustin is entertained by this and pressing her to tell him how he proposed. And she finally spits out, “He said he thought we’d make a pretty good team” to which Dustin is so amused which makes her angrier and angrier. Totally had a flash of that classic scene in that classic movie as they described what good partners they are. 😂

If you have access to childcare, go for it. I am a stay at home mom with four kids, ages 5 to 10 years old, and my youngest has autism. My husband is in the military, and I would kill for about two hours of childcare month for a date night. I have muscular dystrophy and I am confined to a scooter for the most part, so I don’t drive, which makes things extra tricky when it comes to getting out. I think we get a date night if we are lucky a few times a year. Other than that, it’s just us. I think it’s because we move around and live pretty far from family and we don’t stay in one place for terribly long. But if you can swing it, it’s definitely great thing to have in place.

You two are so sweet together, and date night is something couples really need to make each other a priority. My husband and I got married at 19 and 20 both just had birthdays. 33 years in October, 3 Beautiful smart daughters (25,23,20)Now going to be first time grandparents in August. We bicker all the time didn’t have many bad fights but one time we did when they were younger they thought we were getting divorced they ask hubby who they were going to live with. They didn’t grow up seeing that kind of stuff like I would say what I have to and that’s it no staying angry. I didn’t want them growing up with that kind of life.

Shawn is clearly going to support the Olympians. She can believe differently than the current administration and still support her fellow Olympic Gymnasts. It's not about politics, it's about her supporting them. ❤ I have my opinion about what they believe and their content shows it pretty obviously from what I can tell. You know there are plenty of Olympians who are on one side or the other and they're all going TOGETHER to support this country. Don't be upset. The Olympics are about all countries coming together in peace. ❤

@genamartin2297 ай бұрын
I didn’t take it as being neutral, I just took it as they are not going to discuss it in this format. No disrespect.
@Rst987637 ай бұрын
I think the point of their comment was that to be able to choose to “put politics away” is usually a very privileged stance that only people with higher socioeconomic status are able to do comfortably. It’s also probably in part to not isolate some of their following, which seems icky, as there are bigger things going on in the world and it is always cool to see celebrities use their unique platform to push political ideals. Not necessarily here on family made media, but on an instagram story occasionally type of thing, and it’s just never with them. People who see “pushing” politics as having a bad connotation are usually not the ones impacted by adverse policies so deeply. They are also usually people who have more power and sway to change these policies.
@lizziefrances7 ай бұрын
It is not agreement at all. Politics is nuanced and when you have to pick between two sides - both with glaring faults and drawbacks - it is sometimes best to say nothing. Also, what difference do their political views make to you? Would you not follow if they don't align with yours? If so, maybe examine how you can live harmoniously in a diverse community. Political disagreement should not be received as a personal attack or judgement, rather an opportunity to check the validity, ethics and morals underpinning one's stance.
@pattytracey31317 ай бұрын
I think they are saying that they want to keep their politics private - at least not part of their YT. That makes sense these days as Shaun reps the US on the World stage.

Shawn is VERY opinionated and it does come across she gets her way A LOT! Since you guys are Christians, God's word says the husband is the head of the wife... Ephesians 5:23... now it doesn't mean the husband doesn't consider or value his wife's opinions or thoughts... it means final descions are up to him and his wife trusts him as he leads because God is leading him. But Shawn certainly makes decisions that Andrew for sure does not agree with like having more kids and he follows her lead to keep peace.... so Shawn it does come across that Shawn is dominant or acts like the head.
