OMG!!! You have just contributed a transformational seed to my remaining days on this planet. I was blindly following a distant call, as I gathered my pennies, and went off to the local art supply outlet in our little town. I then spent 2 month's rent on paper, littlest tubes of pigments, and a hand full of brushes ....followed tutorials on KZbin, with my grin getting wider day by day. And after a month of this .....I came to you this evening. Hallelujah! I'm in my 70th year living inhabiting this earth suit. Clearly have no sense how much longer my piece will b on the board, however there's no longer the slightest doubt why I've purchased these exquisite sheets of hand made papers, or these wee tubes of splendour. I've been going looser and looser on my tutorial trail. .....and then there was you. Blessings on your journey, and if you'll send me your mailing address and shoe size, you'll be receiving some warm socks and a scarf before the chill of fall is in the air. In the interim, wishing you the very finest spring imaginable. In gratitude achille You can PM me through face book with your mail coordinates, if you're willing to allow me to contribute some wool to your life.

Hi Achille, Your message brightened my day! The one thing you may need for your art journey is passion and humour...I don't thing you need a second trip into your small town for these)) Take care and enjoy every moment!...and yes I love wool so I'll take you up on your very kind offer!

I ADORE YOUR WORK! I am an arttutor subscriber and have watched all your classes. I love the big brush loose style with the rigger work later. Really beautiful use of color....lot the natural mixture on the paper and although tube greens are admonished by some I think SAP green should be sold as an antidepressant! Such and inviting happy green. Thank you for the gift of sharing your talents.

Firstly thank you for sharing. One of the hardest lessons I have had with art is to be able to go further and (it appears) deconstruct a perfect piece of art. As many commented about when they would stop. (As would I). Coming out the other side with something so much more interesting is a skill indeed. Again. Thank you and one day I will be brave enough to take that next brave brushstroke 😌

There are few things more beautiful than nature and yet your poppy creation you have shared with us is just that! I, too, wished you had stopped after six minutes or so as I thought you could not improve upon it and you would only 'muddy' the waters. I was wrong. You went on to breathe more life and vibrance into it. Bravo!

I love that you use some opaques in your paintings (Cadmiums, cerulean, Indian red, etc) but you use them in a transparent manner and always make them work without going muddy. Put them on let them do their own thing and don't mess with them. Thanks for the demos Andrew, as always.

Hi ! I too love this style and will have to try it now on everything I’ve been painting thru my davinci eye app! That is giving me muscle coordination on brush strokes but your use of the fine liner or rigger is genius! I had thought to do that but knew I’ve not got the experience level you obviously have, and so talked myself out of it for now. But from here on in…? It’s wet loose watercolor in my porcelain dishes! Thanks so much for sharing. Finding tutorials like this from an artist of your caliber is going to propel me to my next level of understanding.

Your technique epitomizes what I always thought watercolor painting was about and made it unique from oils and acylics (what I do), unlike so many watercolorists today who use the medium more like thinned down acrylics (not saying that's bad, just makes their work not unique from the other media). Enjoy your demos of your beautiful artwork, although I am a different kind of painter.

I was just thinking the same thing. I've only gotten about a minute into this video so far and am thinking, "Yes! This is what it's all about!" I don't like watercolor that's fussy and tight and looks like a photograph.
