Joan Collins made this a role of a lifetime . She realized the gold mine she had on her hands and played the hilt out of it . She put Dynasty on the map and drove the show to #1 . At 88 it’s amazing to still see her in the news looking fabulous at events in London or Hollywood. She makes the current crop of actresses look shameful in their sweatpants and t shirts . True Hollywood glamour and legend !

She was always a bit of a joke, a B movie actress at best who dined out on pretending she was Hollywood royalty. Like a lot of soap actresses, she ended up having a hard time in the end telling which was the real her and which was the character she played.

This is a masterpiece of amazing editing (theme song is a little too loud is only criticism). So many good zingers from the legendary Joan Collins as Alexis Morell Carrington Colby Dexter Rowan! Thank you for making this

Brilliant! Good job editing. I'll be watching this often--every time I need that extra push to do my hair and makeup properly!

I'm busy watching this show over again each night, thanks to a recently purchased box set. What gets me now is how utterly over the top the whole show was. What really fascinates me is Joan appears in every scene with a different hair-do and a different outfit to match. And which woman wakes up with full make-up, hair immaculate, and eating a breakfast in bed, which consists mainly of caviar and champagne, oh and just to try and keep it real, a glass of fresh orange juice on the side. Still, I am really loving the extravagance of it all. It makes the stuff of today seem so depressing.

Her Alexis outlives all other female villains, no one can equal Dame Joan Collins' performance.
