I see the irony of a mother-daughter dynamic between a 60 and an 80 year old just like the same dynamic between a 40 year old and her teenage daughter. It is the classic love hate relationship that we can relate to. Dorothy's character was strong and I admired her for the way she handled the teasing and the barbs. I used to be sick for so long. I would be sick twice a year and each time it would last two to three months and always led to bronchitis, so essentially I would be sick half of the year, every year.
