Some of the campus moves I've seen him do in this and other videos are stright up ridiculous! I don't particularly like comparing climbers and whatnot but can someone explain to me why he isn't in IFSC bouldering cups? I'm not a v good climber myself so perhaps I don't get the nuances of it but to me his pure campus strength seems like its definitely up there if not better than many of the worlds top competitive boulderers, so I'm guessing it must be in other areas where he is slightly behind in compared to those athletes?

Hey Louis, I just have to say, you are my favourite climber, as in visually your climbing technique is just very beautiful. Controlled, strong, and just aesthetically pleasing. I'm also kinda baked, and that's the reason I'm writing this, not the reason I feel this way, cuz damn dude, you rock (pun intended). One day, maybe next year or something I'd like to book a training or something, fly in from the Netherlands or some shit oh wait, Brexit and stuff, gonna need a visa or some thing. I'll just drive But book a session with you, cuz holy shit do I feel like it'd propel me into my preferred "end goal/grade" (or grade I wouldn't mind ending up at (like 6B'ish) which feels realistic (currently almost 6A) Anyway, got any tips to stay motivated for climbing when you're almost back where you started with the weight loss? :(

Does somebody have a tip where to get good masks for climbing? I have some for everyday use but they are kind of awkward for sport. Right now you don't need to wear them while climbing but seeing Louis wear one makes me wonder if there are some that are comfortable during sport.

Due to the primary energy systems used in bouldering (anerobic, both alactic and lactic) you should not see large performance changes when wearing a mask. Recovery may take a bit longer between attempts and your route climbing may suffer a bit, but if anything it will just increase your aerobic capacity for when masks are no longer needed.

I'm all for wearing masks where it makes sense, i.e. where it's not possible to keep proper distance from other people. Keeping proper distance, however, is very often very possible. This gym seems pretty empty and Louis was never climbing anywhere near other people. Could have easily done without mask IMO. (Seems like showing that you're a good mask wearer is becoming a thing for 'celebrities' in all sports and other areas.) The problem with not trying to keep the mask wearing to a (necessary) minimum, or with people not showing any aversion to masks, is that it might become "the law" even in the most ridiculous situations. You can actually already see people happily wearing their masks in the most ridiculous situations (like walking their dogs on an empty street in the middle of nature with no one else around for miles! or while driving alone in their cars! wtf?), and I think they should not be celebrated but educated about how stupid and maybe even unhealthy that is. For me I'm a bit sceptical about controling everything with rules and regulations, instead of informing people and then letting them use their brains. That being said, everybody can decide for themselves at least in some situations (at least for now, thank God), and maybe Louis has his reasons...

Doesn't the fact that the boulders are color coded in that weird color pattern severely limit the diversity in the problems ? I feel like all these boulders were made from holds from 1 set from the same company. I feel like it would get old when your grade has a specific set of holds and you never get to use any of the cool holds that are the "wrong" colour.
