I splurged on sonarworks for the holidays and it’s probably one of the if not THE best investment I’ve made for my studio all year. It’s helped my mixes significantly, even my demos sound awesome now. Definitely worth the money
@nantan94534 жыл бұрын
You can use a mix blend knob in the bottom corner to get the perfect balance of your room before and after sound. You can also use the predefined target curve to get a more ideal sound for what a speaker will sound like in a room. It's probably less than ideal to mix with it 100% flat since naturally most people will be listening to speakers in a room that don't have this. For your average listener this will result in a boost in the low end and a reduction in high end.

It’s a good idea to get used to having Sonarworks on all the time (which is where Systemwide comes in handy). It helps to get your ears trained to knowing what flat sounds like, which in turn helps you to mix faster and focus more on mix sweetening, removing any mud, getting clear mids and the stereo field. Once you’ve done a few mixes with Sonarworks on, if you find you’re getting better translation, then you’ll know your on the right track and what’s best is you get to start just trusting your ears, room and monitors.

Yes - I'd use it. I've considered getting one. Would be (at the least) interesting. I'd like to see what "science" has to say about how my new space sounds. Needs work, but I think it sounds pretty good so far. Sonarworks will no doubt shut me down and throw a big adjustment at me. Also would like to do before and after measurements pre/post installation of more acoustic treatments. Like button SMASHED. Thanks, Andrew, for the new understanding of how important that is...

the good thing with sonarworks is that compared to REW (room eq wizard) it is measuring every speaker separately. I know a lot of people using REW with both speakers activated at the same time, this causes massive problems. you have to use one measurement for the left and one for the right separately. Otherwise the results are messed. Sonarworks does all the work there for you. Would be so great to win this giveaway! The have my Shure headphones listed!

As someone who is currently a bedroom producer, using mainly headphones for mixing, this seems like an amazing product to get! If not to create a better listening environment, at least for speeding up the time to get to a "perfect" (or, well, near) mix

This sounds sick!! I have a couple HS5’s but I’m mixing in my garage so they are anything but flat sounding. This is good stuff. I bought the full version on black friday, totally worth it. You forgot to play with the controls down below. You can also correct phase issues, check latency, add speaker targets and optimize the sound for your listening spot. Really valuable options. I've got a preset for my HS7's and my Beyer DT 1770 pro. Sadly enough i can't seem to use them both at the same time. Hopefully this changes in the future. Keep up the content Adrew! Cheers Hannes
