This inspiring. This is what years studying and playing jazz does for you. The changes in this song are really simple as is the melody, so it’s not at all difficult to reharmonize. What’s impressive is that they do all that and manage to do justice to all the hooks in the original as well as shining in what they already know. Brilliant work.

Now I want to see a metal band do this to a jazz song. There so many possibilities... it's a great concept. They truly are masters. It's amazing to see.

Let get it clear, Nirvana was not a metal band. 😊😉

Twice then we blow. Then we take it out. Yall playing the head out? Come on y'all were jazz musicians. Absolutely loved this. No words how beautiful a rendition this was from each member, but dayum that piano was sweweett. Wish I could request my album choice next.

that was bonkers, stunning musicianship. 😳 every musician, regardless of style, needs kind of blue in the house 😊

I had used Andrew’s 30-Day Drumeo promo 5 months ago. I had never even sat behind a kit before! By the time that 30-days was done, I was reading sheet music and playing full Metallica songs. It was so worth it! Thank you Andrew ❤

I'm a metal/punk guy at heart. Miles Davis A kind of blue is one of the few jazz records I like and I actually introduced it to my father who grew up in the jazz era.

I highly recommend John Colerain - A Love Supreme. Closest I've ever come to a religious experience involved reefer and that record in a dark room by myself one evening in my 20s. Edit: I should have also stated I'm a metal/punk guy at heart.

Another thing that really struck me was, as laid back as they seemed, physically, they played with a sense of urgency. That sense of urgency is what really kept the rock sound in their rendition.

Absolutely loved it. And this isn't the first time people have taken rock tunes and jazzed them up. Maybe the most famous one is called JAZZ IS DEAD where jazz guys took Grateful Dead tunes and jazzed them up. The first version of that band had T. Lavitz from the Dixie Dregs (one of my fav bands) on keys. They should do this with 8 or 10 songs, and release it. It would very likely get a lot of Nirvana fans buying it and possibly introducing them to a new genre, a new world of music.

My favorite Jazz stuff are sax quartets and heavy bazz focus, then comes the drums for me, so I loved that intro. I guess I kinda love the darker tones, not too surprising coming from a death and black metal love, I guess.
