Art is amazing. He’s in a tough position to replace an iconic and beloved metal drummer, but he’s doing it wonderfully. He brings Lamb of God and Chris Adler into his playing while also still being Art Cruz. As a diehard LOG and Adler fan, I was upset about Chris leaving, but I don’t think he could’ve made the transition any better.

As a metal fan, I am glad a lot of the drummers you show are of the metal genre. It just shows the world how talented metal musicians are. A lot of people think metal is just a bunch of noise and garble when, this shows, it is most definitely not. Thank you.

Art is doing great in LOG despite the awkward circumstances of his joining the band, and the hard feelings of a lot of long time fans. Chris Adler was a great drummer in his own right. I honestly am very excited about the direction that the band is taking now and sound great despite not being spring chickens. Thanks for this review!

@Dibulok My only complaint would be that his fills aren't quite as good, Adler always threw in random cymbal hits and stuff like that which I really liked...whereas Art's fills are moreso just traditional (although AMAZING) tom work

Anybody would be intimidated to come into a band and take over for a drummer, Chris Adler is not somebody who gets replaced easily. I have to say hands-down Art Cruz is an incredible drummer and can hold his own while still paying homage to the great Chris Adler. I’ve seen them live with both drummers and it’s incredible how amazing Art is strong, precise, powerful and damn he just makes it look so easy.

Arts a beast. I saw him with Wings of Plague back in the day and on tour with Prong. His energy and precision is spot on. People dissing him are just Adler diehards. But if you stack these 2 next to each other, Art would probably edge Chris out on creativity, speed, and adaptability. Chris was a pioneer of LOGs style. I’m a long time LoG and Slipknot fan. You asked how we feel about the replacements for the original drummers. Personally, I’ve always found Jordison to be a little sloppy in his playing and tempos so when Weinberg stepped in I quite enjoyed his playing more. As for LoG, I have a personal affinity for Adler not only because of his precise playing but because I had the opportunity to spend a night partying with him after a show here in Halifax. I have to say that Cruz is the perfect replacement and does an amazing job.

@calebatwood76592 жыл бұрын
Chris Adler has such a unique style that can't be replaced or duplicated. You know when Chris is playing on the track immediately. That being said, Art Cruz is incredible in his own right. I think my problem with LoG right now is just that this past album with Art is just super generic. I sounds like LoG... but every album before it has a unique sound individually compared to each other. This one was just nothing special and very disappointing as a long time fan. I'm hoping that this upcoming release shows they've worked whatever kinks out they had since the weird circumstances with Chris leaving. And truly gives Art a platform to show us what hes got up his sleeves, cause the guy is clearly talented.

I’m one to one with you on your description. No one can be Chris. One may play like Chris, but no one can to the point compose drum parts just like Chris would have done. So a new interesting sound “must” be found with who they are now.
@didierleclerc662 жыл бұрын
The "singing" ruins it all. I just can't hear this type of "music" because of that. It's a pity because the drumming is most impressive.
