It's always been one of the top funny lines in all of recorded movie history. The whole thing! A woman alone and scared and that's what he hits her with....and he covers the whole thing with perfect tone. I have repeated this line many times in my life because it's so funny! "Where did you get that dress? It's awful! And those shoes and that coat...Geez!"
@DavidFobare2 жыл бұрын
Well, that’s a high bar. Underappreciated though is Stucker’s timing. He waits. He waits until everyone thinks he’s nothing but supportive. But he can’t wait forever. The movie’s pacing demands quickness. The ability to navigate this is key. And Stucker is perfect. The outburst itself is pedestrian IMO.

Imagine facing that kind of high stakes pressure and going through like always especially if you’re the cheerful type. I would say that’s handling it like a pro!

Poor Stephen Stucker. I saw the beautiful Donna Mills on a talk show with Stephen Stucker when he revealed he had AIDS and was dying. Not much was known about AIDS then. Donna treated him with such compassion. I wish I could remember which show it was.

Funny thing is, Reagan’s last movie before running for governor was actually pretty good. And he was good in it. A 1964 remake of The Killers, directed by Don Siegel also starring Lee Marvin, John Cassavetes & Angie Dickinson. A classic example of neo-noir.
