I'm in my second year of painting. Value is the hardest piece that I've been learning. I still struggle to trust what I'm seeing, but am learning. This was a great short demo, very helpful. I am learning now from a true master, and you are one of a very few painters on line that he recommends watching. I'm sure you have talent, but I know it is more about putting in the thousands of hours to develop your skill, that gives me something to shoot for! Bravo!

Hi! I just wanted you to know that I have tried some of your portrait painting techniques that you demonstrate in your videos, and OMG! I was feeling really bland with a portrait painting I was working on. Then, I tried the skin texture technique you've shown with really different and vibrant colors, and it just transformed the painting into something that was so much more exciting and upper level!
