Matthew Tencza Andrew was going through a legal battle for almost 10 years. I guess he had to fight in court to use the name Andrew WK, which he eventually won. That's probably why all of these songs are inspirational because he might have almost given up on himself a couple of times. y'know... true story. about 4 5 years ago i'd sit in my basement and listen to a whole bunch of songs recommended to me right now, some of them are andrew's old songs... and I used to be salty about these... but i'd still listen to them. Really what I think hurts it is a lot of people whenever they reference his music, it's usually the songs about partying, they tend to gloss over his deep stuff, but I feel that's what he would want. He believes in partying to uplift your soul and it's all you need. He wants every to be happy and party hard but not with intoxicants but just appreciating the music and partying.
