Hey there. Apaet from android auto does this also udate the new dct update for the 1st to 2nd gear shifting times. In the 2022 they updated something regarding the dct 1st to 2nd gear switching

This update only adds Android Auto. The AT originally came with only Apple Play option so this adds Android Auto option. I am not sure what Software you need for gear shift settings. I only ride manual version anyway so don't know much about DCT versions.

Hi, thanks for making this video. My motorcycle came with 2.8 and it does not seem to start updating. 8GB Drive was connected through a extension cable and I can see the thumb drive is getting power. It is formatted FAT32, and I did verify it on a couple of computers and it gets opened and I can see the update file.But the motorcycle does not start update as shown in video. Any ideas as to what is happening?

Some have reported issues when using extension cables. if the extension cable is too long it may cause issues. I am not sure if the usb size would be an issue. Best bet is make sure the extension cable is not too long and that it is actually making good contact on the motorcycle end.

@@pruuuch2502 Thanks figured out it was just the cable not all the way in. the socket on the bike has another layer of rubber around the opening and for some reason, I had to push the drive in and hold . I had tried three different drives and a cable and finally keeping one drive pushed in worked.!!

I've tried 2 USB sticks.. Nothing happens, smallest was 1.8 gig. Any pointers pls?

I am assume this is when connecting to motorcycle with software downloaded? Did you format the USB stick before downloading the software? and also just checking that the Honda update file is the only one on the USB stick? The next thing to confirm is that the USB stick is actually making contact properly in the port. I found the port access is a bit small so I had to use an extension/adaptor cable to connect (make sure the cable is not too long). If all that checks out then it does take a few seconds for the motorcycle to read the USB stick where nothing seems to happen then the download / update starts.

@@TraficMusic I cannot recall exactly but it did take a long time. 20mins sounds too long though.

@@pruuuch2502 thanks a lot for your fast answers, the problem came from the extension cable that was too long, i turned the bike off after 30min of "installing" and tried again by plugging the usb stick directly, it worked!

So I did this update, everything works great except for when making a phone call then the other person con't hear me, this is on incoming and outgoing calls. Can you help

Do other voice functions work, e.g. 'hey google'? You may need to disconnect your helmet comm from the the phone and make sure the helmet comm is connected via the motorcycle.

Yes,all other voice functions do work. 1. I keep the phones Bluetooth off when connecting to the bike. 2. First I switch the headset on and once it appears on the screen I connect the phone via USB. Then android auto will come on and everything works great,,exsept for the fact that the person on the other side can't hear me on incoming or outgoing calls.

@@riaanmaritz3554 not sure... I keep my Bluetooth on and mine is working. The order I connect does not seem to matter. It is not something silly like the volume? Try checking the phone volume i.e. when you are on a phone call increase the volume. Sorry might be a silly suggestion but that is all I got.
