I love the you break things down to make things so easy to understand. I thought I knew what JIT did but you brought yet another dimension. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Wish these videos had their own channel. I'm an Android enthusiast focused on learning every aspect of Android but don't care about the other videos on PocketNow. I subscribed for now but I think creating a channel specific to Android training would be much better. Anyways thanks and keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!

dalvik is JVM, The software (Virtual Machine) that runs java byte code on the cpu which doesn't process java but it's own binary formatted operation codes. dalvik cache is what dalvik creates to help start the program faster next time by noting what code is executed most and should be run in native language using JIT etc..

Always wondered why Dalvik Virtual Machine was used instead of its native Java Virtual Machine? Cos Android is written in Java...

So jit is for multiple processor makers and hardware companies to make android devices with their own hardware and all apps to run on them?
@Rickrg9512 жыл бұрын
Android is written in cpp fyki, it's apps are written in java unless you choose to write in ndk.

JIT was used back in the Commodore Amiga days, so it's not a new computing term either.

JIT is not a new acronym. It was being used 15 years ago when I was working in a warehouse.

the first time I saw this was in CM6 two years go... didn t get much around it cos was not interested. if CM included it in their builds then it must be important (tweak).

All of this doesn't really make sense before you explain what is a java virtual machine, and you make it sound as if JIT=JVM/Dalvik
