I felt like every video was saying how much better Andromedas Edge to the point I was getting skeptical. I love Dwelling so I don't so much want a replacement because I am happy with what I have. But I think the way you highlighted the better combat with a few new things versus the spell system in Dwellings makes me think I can have both and it isn't so much a replacement as something that can coexist.

🐺#OP congrats for the promo , is a great faction and a very cool moment. I've tried AE the other day in tts and i can give my comparison with his older brother : -Tactic cards: in AE you have so many ways to get tactic cards free, that I feel this is the best improvement that this game made, the cards in your hand change so much and you are doing a lot of different things thank to them. -AE: is more overwhelming, you have a lot of ways to get resources and prepare to get points, I've felt that because I didn't want to get stuck in AP I've made a lot of mistakes. -Monsters: in AE monsters are around much more time because usually a lot of them have 2 Hp so you need to beat them twice, and they are dangerous even in late game. -Special workers: I feel that special workers are more interesting in dwelling of eldervale, I've had some ships upgrade in my game that I've felt that I didn't had any use. -Events: the events in this games I feel they are very interesting, change a lot the board and you can plan around them to get more vp. Is one of the things that I liked more. -Resource and vp manage: in this game with the tech tracks and modules and differents "dwellings" or buildings there are a lot of ways to get vp and win. so in the end if you want one or another: -dwelling: medium weight, better special workers/units, faster and streamlined, more special permanent powers with dungeon cards, more asymmetry in combat. Better with higher number of players,. -Andromeda edge: heavy weight, more engine building and strategies to get vp, more asymmetry in managing resources/vp, less punishment for losing combat, more things to do. Better with a lower number of players. I've enjoyed my play with Andromeda Edge and I can't wait to play again.

Next thing I know I find this video, which made me search for Andromeda’s Edge and find the crowdfunding on Gamefound. So to summarize, I have you to thank for being able to find such an amazing company, designer and games, I am now a happy Andromeda’s Edge backer! I’m very happy that you got your own faction, to put it like that, and I ended up subscribing too. If I win a copy, I’ll give to one of my friends that live at another state so he can enjoy the awesomeness that is “wolves in space” with his friends over there.

From what I've been reading/seeing, I concluded that I like the DoE lore more, but some mechanics from AE also seems better. pulled the trigger on the all in version! i am only a year or so into the board gaming hobby so this is my first "expensive" game buy and from what I've seen I am gonna love it! Looks very cool with the Euro and engine building style which are some of my favorite gameplay types. I was gonna jump on the Dwellings reprint but think I will just wait for this now

Nice video ! Big players of dwellings of eldervale here (100 games or more) we play andromeda 3 times with my friends. And we cancel our pledge :D. We definetly prefer dwellings because of : less WOMBO combo ressource. Fantasy theme. Better dungeon cards, better tableau building for us. We need dwellings expansion :D. We really love the repair mechanic and the event track where you don't necessarly put a tile everytime you take a card :D.

11:46 Yes, the thematic elements are very strong in Dwellings. Also, I wanted to mention that ThinkerThemer was complaining about not knowing who was ahead in the scoring, due to the tracks in Dwellings. I vehemently disagree. You can look at where you are; as well as where your opponent(s) are - on a few metrics and get an idea of how your scores will compare. Those metrics are: 1) How many dwellings are out (for each player), and what color(s) those dwellings are on - along with the scoring values on the tracks for those colors; 2) The color(s) of players’ adventure cards (and whether you can score them) - along with the scoring values on the tracks for those colors; 3) Any other point scoring values on the tracks… Add those, but take into consideration the scores leading up from the in-game scoring - before calculating end game scoring… The only hidden scoring would be scoring from magic cards.
