Aloha! Good times for sure! I lived on Kaua'i, Wailua Homesteads in 1981 and spent my teen years there. I went for visit November 2018 and nothing was the same. No cane fields and no cane factory in Lihue, it's all gone. I was sad but hold onto all my Kaua'i memories. Andy Bumatai on TV made me laugh so hard, still does!

Oh nah. Andy Bumatai is one of the most funny and talented comedians out. The skill it takes to play all these characters separately yet make them relate to each other dependently is quite hard. Like the dinner scene in the Nutty Professor, which is also gut busting hilarious. Unreal Anyone remember Andy’s recorded skit “Languages” I think it was called? Where he makes fun of all the Asian languages and the stereotypes
@JAnotherday2 жыл бұрын
Andy bumatai you are so brilliant it's so nice to see younger pictures moving pictures of oneself from way . Linda Coble looks beautiful as always and the old Hawaii scenery has so much memories of a beautiful Hawaii now lost.

I recently met Andy bumatai at Allah Moana and I believe he was shooting a podcast of some sort. But I let him know how much I appreciated him and his talent and he was so warm and gracious.

a timeless (KGMB) Hawai'ian (Pidgin) comedy classic; before Eddie Murphy did "The Nutty Professor 2: The Klumps." (the dinner family scene from 2000); much like Andy Bumatai's seminal effort, during his younger "High School Days/Daze" at (the rough and tumble) Waianae High.. "Bu La'ia" (Junior Boy). Brilliantly done !

Ke Akua will always protect us all, back in the days only cracks to understand. I am satisfy that i hope the next generation will continue taking care of the Kapunas. Well be-carefull with the questions you ask the young ones, the mind is still fragile but point them in the right directions they will innocently understand the calls of a winner that will be good to all the Country.

Oh wow Andy bumatai is doing multiple characters way before Eddie Murphy
@artistamisto Жыл бұрын
1964 - Peter Sellers played multiple characters in Dr. Strangelove. 1977 - Richard Pryor played multiple characters in Which Way is Up. 1978 - Rich Little played multiple characters in A Christmas Carol. They were first, but Andy's All in the Ohana is more funny.

I'm not Hawiian, but I was there from the early 70's to the early 90's. I grew up there. I remember watching you when I was younger, but since then I have spent my life traveling. although Hawaii is my hometown because that is where I grew up and not because of military reasons like most haole kids. I will never go back. There is a huge world out there, and I have seen some of it and want to continue to go on adventures to see more. Life was really hard for me there, my children, brother, and mom live there, and I wish them the best. But life has more to offer, and I am on that road to experience it to the fullest. Hawaii made me tough. thick skinned. with that I became a survivor.

I couldn’t agree more with what you said. I grew up a haole at that same time on the Big Island. You literally just told my story. I have a parent and siblings still there but I will never go back.
