And after four years i still think this is the most amazing guitar compositon ever written. Rhythm, bass, lead and percussion as perfectly balanced as i've ever heard. And when i have people listen to it, i always ask them afterwards how many musicians they think we're playing, nobody has ever answered ''just one''...yet. Pay for his music don't steal it, same with the sheet music. He isn't a limousine riding whiner people, he deserves every penny he gets. It all comes back to us anyhow.

I dunno this is 14 years since I first heard this. I bought this track about 12 years ago and slowed it down to try and work out all the hits and where they happen. I can play this note for note, percuss for percuss, but 14 years of playing this to anyone who will listen and I still can’t give it the soul you gave it Andy. I will be thinking of you when I hit the grave I am totally certain of that. You are a genius ❤️

I am struggling to find words to explain why this is so hypnotic, with or without watching his "totally zen" way of playing. I can listen to it again and again (and I have over the years). Yes, it is that beat, something akin to galloping on a horse, it is the melody, that makes me imagine passing through trees and fields of flowers, punctuated by rock monuments, seeing fluffy clouds pass overhead, one pleasant pastoral image melting into another, slowing down just slightly at times to cross a bubbling brook to catch a breath and let the beauty sink in. I can hear the Don Ross, I can hear the classic Spanish guitars, but it is uniquely him. Maybe Topeka really does look like this in sound. Perhaps those of you far more schooled in music than I am can explain to me.

@TimMakesCoolMusic10 жыл бұрын
Just shares a bassline, in the same way that all of pop punk does, as well as early rock like Zeppelin. That bassline progression is really popular in many kinds of funk/fusion songs. They're also sharing the same scale, but that isn't a ripoff; Look up "Everything is a Remix Pt.2" and it'll make more sense.
