As a songwriter I wish I could bargain my conscious, as Andy does, to be a part of this euphonious realm; where such imaginative music endures. The emotion, the scope, and the sense of necessity for reason, in each note is free of ego. This song is simply awe-inspiring.

My... Lord... How anyone could sit through this entire song and not think it's one of the most beautiful, delicate, genuine and heartfelt compositions they've ever heard... Blows my mind. There is plenty of beautiful music in the world today, but there's something about the way Andy plays this song... There are no vocals, but I can hear a voice. There's beauty in the simplicity of a single acoustic guitar, finger picking and a particular ambience that just takes over. Gorgeous.

"Nakagawa-san" A dedication to the steel-string forefather of Japan, Isato Nakagawa. Isato invited me to perform with him and Masaaki Kishibe in Japan back in 2005. It was such an honor and I absolutely loved the culture and people. In this tune I tried to emulate parts of Isato's style, particularly his guitar vibrato, by shaking the entire guitar. "

The beautiful thing about Andy McKee is that he doesn't develop music to showcase his technique, he develops technique to showcases his music. A lot of guitarist play from their fingers. He plays from his ears.

The thing I love about Andy Mckee is that you don't have to wonder what he is like in person.. his music tells you everything about him. I'm not a religious person but I have to say if there such a thing as a soul it comes from expression. No one ever fights on the comments of his videos.. If one thing could truly change the world and bring people together it is music like this. There may not be a specific point in life but music is one incredible things we humans can make.

This song among others by Andy are so encouraging. They give light in a dark time and help us better understand ourselves. Everything he writes is so sincere and true, you can't help but be moved, changed and renewed after each listen. There isn't much more things that are as relaxing as listening to this.

This dude's is a serious diamond in the rough. Despite all the nonsensical bullshit music that violently pollutes our airways, Andy reminds us that there can be truth, purity, and beauty in music. Andy is not a show of finger movement, or stage antics. Nor is here to be persuaded into composing monotonous "hits" for the mainstream boreheads. He's a breath of fresh air. He's a fuckin' Musician man. You're the truth Andy.
