The things that sets Mckee apart from all the great acoustic guitar players today are his focus on memorable melodies/rythms. People are focusing so much in chords that their melodies arrive blurred to the ears. Andy really has the feeling for everlasting masterpieces like this song. Every tune is an instant classic.

I shouldn't have watched this, cus now i'm pregnant. And I'm keeping it. The reasons I like Andy over other complex composers is how locked in the groove he stays. It's not how busy the music is, but how strong he plays, the clarity of notes and accents, and just command of the instrument. No matter what' going on, it never gets away from him. He is a rock.

The music that Andy Mckee plays is no doubt some of the most beautiful songs that I have ever listened to. Pure genius.

I had the honor of seeing this man play live, and he was incredible! It's hypnotizing! With all of the talentless musicians out the on the radio it was refreshing to hear arguably the best acoustic guitarist in the world. Such an inspiration!

Any McKee and Don Ross are the greatest acoustic guitarists I've ever heard.

Andy McKee needs a Grammy...no one, not even Dufour, tops the progressions of Mr. McKee.

The chord changes are marvelous bro.. Been one of my fav guitarists of all time and he never fails to impress. So unique and always a slight percussive aspect, and the thought he is managing that all is amazing.

There is a huge change in the style and tone of this song after Andy got his new greenfield guitar. I felt the same thing too when I first listened to this version a couple years ago, however later I found that this version has a lot more dynamic and tension in it then I just get crazy listening to it LOL

it pisses me off so much that vevo has had ads up for lady gaga like FOREVER. like honestly, lady gaga doesnt need fucking ads. I say if anyone would need ads it would be the geniuses that have the intellectual capability to write this beautiful music. half the world already listens to the bullshit lady gaga puts out, she doesnt need more publicity. these people do.

@zrouth14 жыл бұрын
@steelmetal9 indeed. andy mckee's taken it to the next level. If you listen to the original version (where he's in the wooden recording studio) and then you listen to this one you can hear the immense improvement he's made. His notes are cleaner, he plays the larger strings harder and the smaller strings softer, accentuating and blending the tune even more.

@IamBakaSan he does not need a band, i didn't say that. his songs are great the way they are. but a band with this guy would be awesome! i mean, keyboards, maybe a violin... a drummer and a good slaping bass player. WOW!

@LampLightCarriers he really is amazing... not to be that guy but he is playing a greenfield in this one. The McCollum was a beast though. And to make it more of a beast, it's probably one of the last McCollum's as Lance McCollum sadly passed.

t think Andy wants any of them to get stale. When he changes them up he breathes new life into them.
@flexabustbergson614110 жыл бұрын
I prefer the versions on Candyrat, I feel like this one is not as tasty and less feeling in it.
@YeaItsMeMatt8910 жыл бұрын
The only difference is tempo and video quality imo.
@Tobinicus10 жыл бұрын
The candy rat stuff is the newer recordings right? I do prefer the quality and sound in the candy rat vids
@flexabustbergson614110 жыл бұрын
no they're actually the old recordings. The quality of the video is way lower but I feel he plays with a better touch in them (my opinion :) ).
@YeaItsMeMatt8910 жыл бұрын
True. Which is to be expected. I play much better when I play slower as well. But I digress; I see your point.
@flexabustbergson614110 жыл бұрын
YeaItsMeMatt89 Oh I get your point now ^^ I didn't think tempo could influence the way to play a piece, I thought you only meant he played it faster. Well anyways, it stays one of my favourites by mr Mckee :)
