Anyone that has been on an outreach(Hit the streets and witness), would know that secular hip hop conforms the mind. Every born again Christians had to kill their old self, but we gain witnessing tools from our worldly ways. That is why we have to hit all corners, so we can make disciples from ALL aspects of life. Where in my post did I say conform?....LOL What I was saying is when you witness to someone, you can not just throw the gospel at them. They will simply walk away. You have to relate with them on some level. That is where your testimony comes into play. Before we found Christ. We all gained "tools" from our secular lives that we can use during an outreach. Have you ever shared a Lecrae song or an Andy Mineo song with someone who is not saved, that listens to hip-hop? What is there response? If I read my post again. I can see where it would read as you explained. I agree with you on not using their tactics. What I'm saying as sinners we all had " skills" that died with our old self. 2 Cor 5:17. Relating with a someone during a witness by giving your testimony is a great tool. I have used this method(replacing secular hip hop with gospel rap) twice and both times they asked questions about Jesus. Unfortunately only one got saved. I definitely hear you bro. You comments make me stronger that their are still Christians that read their Word. 1 John 4 tells us that we should test the spirits to see if they are from God. 1 Thessalonians 5:21 tells us that we test all things; hold fast what is good. For those who are confused about the meaning of the song, Uno Uno Seis translates to One One Six, which has a couple references. The first and most important reference is Romans 1:16 I am unashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ because it is the power of God, first for the Jew and then the Gentile. The second reference is the record label he is signed with. Andy Mineo is white and latino, so in my opinion he wants to make a song as sort of a shout out to his heritage. That being said I think he is depending on his fans to be intelligent enough to figure this out.

I remember hearing Andy Mineo on the album Anomaly back in 2015 and i've been hooked on him since then. I love all kinds of the modern Christian music except the hardcore, the hardest i'll get is Red and Demon Hunter. On this days where the youth is so difficult to reach, I don't see other way to do it, u can't reach the youth in the same way u reach a mature older person, the bible speaks about renew our minds cuz God knows better that the times will change, I've seen many teenagers come to the Lord through this kind of music, Andy is a young christian that not just praise the Lord bt also celebrates life, we don't need to live with the Jesus on our mouths to honor him, yet the lyrics make reference to Romans 1:16 this only weaken up the curiosity of the youth to know about it n then becomes engage in the meaning of the gospel, I'm just keep praying for Andy n the other christian rappers so the Lord keep give them wisdom n strength cuz the way they choose to spread the gospel is for the courage n unashamed...sayin that the rap world is a very tought world to conquer for the glory of God... There is at least a dozen references throughout the song pointing directly, unashamedly (see what I did there?) to Christ. And that is not even counting the endless times they say "1-1-6". The song lyrics doesn't need to be "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus" to make an impact. In fact, some songs can have a deeper impact if you have to think about the lyrics more. Case in point, my license plate says "on my 116". I have had so many opportunities to share my faith due to the random people coming up to me asking what the plate meant. Keep doing your thing guys! You are making an impact for the Kingdom of God!

I agree DarcsenOfLegend! If you check out some of his podcasts, Andy Mineo is clearly all about Jesus and bringing the gospel to the world. In order to be IN the world but not OF the world we need to go where "careful Christians" dont go... such as - into the world of rap/hip-hop. I am a very strong Christian, firm believer in Jesus and His love for us, and I share with everyone I can - which includes sharing these songs with unbelievers. This music (as well as Tedashii, Lecrae etc) has been an amazing tool of evangelism and protecting people from the garbage that is heard in most rap and hip-hop songs now a days! Also (TYP) don't forget that in 2 Samuel 6: 14 it says "David danced with ALL HIS MIGHT" That sounds like a great party to me :)

It has a fun beat and celebrates Andy's heritage. If you looked up the lyrics it also focuses on being unashamed of the gospel among the lyrics about the Hispanic heritage. It might not make sense to some unbelievers, but it still is a great, CLEAN song to listen to.
