Elite pro Andy Montgomery is a dock-skipping Jedi master, and her's his A to Z download of bait, trailer, rod/reel setup, technique, etc. Had a bunch of vids, finally just rolled 'em into one - doesn't make for the smoothest transitions all the time, but the meat is there mang!

The video is only about promoting the product he is sponsored. It would be much better if he would show how to skip, the reel settings (cc knob and breaks), and tell how to adjust reels for skipping with different breaking systems (like Shimano, Abu, Lews, etc).

He did just that in another video, more of technique then product. Lot of guys are bait heads and find this type of video informative.

How well your trailer stays on that jig is very important too. Lot of jigs have shitty keepers on em and are useless for skipping

I figured Andy would use the SV Tatula for skipping since its supposed to be nearly impossible to backlash

If it needs a trimmed skirt, why wasn't it designed with a trimmed skirt? If I had to narrow it down to two colors they would be black and blue.

@@unicornsteaks6769 this is gunna sound weird but I catch alot on green pumkin jigs, but I caught get bit on a green pumkin worm. Plum, purple, junebug, black, blue fleck, scuppernong, baitfish, oxblood are my worm colora mainly plum and purple

Yeah, for years I only bought purple worms because they worked so well for me. But other baits that color don't work for me. PB&J? Forget about it. Now that I'm better with a jig I could probably get a bite on most colors, but black/blue works so well it's always tied on. I've thought of making a jig with a few strands of all the usual colors so I know the bass will see at least a few they prefer. I'd call it Everything Color.
