I like how it’s the simplest of orders that makes his wife say “perfect, yum” with sheer bliss on her facial expression. But Andy makes some really complex dish and she’ll say “it’s very good”. Sometimes it really is the simple things in life that are the best, and tastiest

@@Warlord85 Oh hey I'm from Germany too! For burgers I use cheddar and for anything where the cheese is on top I can vouch for tilsit cheese ("Tilsiter" in Germany). That one has the best consistency if it's baked under direct heat...usually you get either crunchy or cheesy, Tilsit cheese however seperates into two layers. Very crunchy and spicy on the surface and cheesy underneath. Gouda and Butter cheese are the ye ol' reliables though. The funny thing is though, you can buy all these types of cheese in the States aswell...maybe they'd buy them more if they were called "american"

I used to cook when I was younger, growing up in the 90's you had a lot of free time to listen to the radio, I ended bored helping my grandma cook\ put hamburgers on the bun with ketchup\ fill pierogis together. However I was not so blessed, my mother was informed that I had a Disease that affects the muscles and nervous system, from age 12-21 I would slowly loose my mobility from Muscular dystrophy duchennes, however this did not stop me from enjoying home cooked meals once my grandmother passed, she was my light when my father was a single parent after mum died. I learned to cook from her.

Here is the ingredients: - 250g (9 oz) 80/20 beef mince - 1 onion, thinly sliced - 2 tbsp mayo - 1 tbsp ketchup - 1 tsp yellow mustard - 1 tsp gherkin pickle, finely chopped - 4 slices white tin loaf bread - 1 tbsp butter, softened - 2 slices American cheese - 6 slices dill pickles - 1 tbsp oil for the smash burgers Method 1. Start by preheating the Turbo Crunch Toastie Maker. 2. Divide the beef into 2 portions and roll them into tight balls. 3. To make the sauce, add the mayo, ketchup, mustard, and finely chopped pickle to a bowl and mix well. 4. Place a heavy frying pan on high heat. When hot, add a drizzle of oil. Once the oil is hot, add one of the beef balls and smash it into the pan. Season with salt and add the sliced onions on top. When the burger is almost cooked through, flip it and cook for 1 minute on the other side. 5. To assemble, butter the bread and place the buttered side facing down in the toastie maker. Add the smash burger, pickles, cheese, and some of the sauce. 6. Place the second slice of bread on top with the butter facing up and close the machine. 7. Cook for 4-5 minutes until golden brown, then serve

@kendurham6784
@kendurham6784 7 ай бұрын
Jaffle is the original brand name given to them by the inventor. There's speculation it's derived from waffle, as the concept was inspired by Belgian waffle irons., though I don't know what the J stands for. Technically I suppose we should be capitalising the J and talking about pressure toasted sandwich makers as the generic name - but who has time for that!
