When Dr. Greene told Katie that she was his last patient, and Dr. Greene told Dr. Carter, "You set the tone, Carter", I cried. He was a good doctor, and a good man. He didn't deserve to die from that damn tumor. He deserved to see both of his daughters grow up, get married and have kids. He deserved to see Rachel become a great doctor and hear Dr. Carter tell Rachel, "You set the tone Rachel". Mark Greene would be so happy and proud of both of his daughters.

Hathaway and Ross may have been the couple of the ER, but Greene and Carter were the heart and soul. For me their absence was missed the most. I expect people watching this won't be spoiled by this information, I absolutely loved that they brought Rachel back for the finale. It was full circle but also a little twist. In a way a little bit more of Greene was back where they belonged.

I’d agree with Greene and Ross! They were a dream team! I also LOVED that Benton was working in the hospital when Carter got his kidney transplant. And when Frank just had a sad look when Rachel made him aware she was Dr. Greene’s daughter and his face spoke volumes.

Watching clips before I dove into the show, I knew Mark was going to die but when I watched the actual episode, I cried. Mark was the heart of the show. Anthony Edwards was so amazing at capturing and making the character. I miss seeing him on screen. Don't get me wrong, I love Carter just as much, seeing him become as passionate as Mark really shows how great a doctor he was. Carter has become Mark. He has set the tone.

" You all came in to this job with open minds and huge open hearts. Don't fool yourself or the rest when things don't work out as well as you had hoped. All of these people you see will have a profund impact on you in ways you might not understand fully at that time but you will come to know what it meant later. You're here now to help heal the injured and sick and to save lives. Don't let one or two small things make you stumble and fall. Get back up, accept that life isn't always going to play out the best way you had thought and do your jobs the best that you can and learn from it all. You're all hopeful doctors and nurses and to that end, it'll be more than hope that determines where you go and what you do after today. Everyone has a part to play and a fucntion to fulfill. Do yours and the rest of this will fall into line. Just remember, These things we do so that others may live To the poster of this video As a former combat medic who turned RN , I sincerely and deeply thank you for this wonderful presentation . Ooooph right in the feelings! 😭 I love ER. It shaped such a large part of my life - it's what gave me the ambition to become a doctor, and I may not be all the way there yet, but I'm on my way! I remember watching it and rushing to school to talk about it with my friend, Katie, who introduced me to it. I was only a teenager and now...now it's my career. Great tribute man. It made me cry, but it was great. And there's so much truth, down to the two kinds of doctors, the medicine...and there's something for everyone. Well done!

The stethoscope that Carter takes out of Mark Greene's locker and switches with his own is the wrong model. Mark Greene used a cardiology stethoscope either a Littman Cardiology or an ADC 601. Carter used a Sprague-Rappaport, which is what he removed from Mark's locker.

But now when I just rewatched from the start, oh man Marks death was even worse to see how much he had difficulties in her personal life and that he had so short time to be happy it just makes me so sad. And yet again now Greene is my absolute favorite 😢❤️ Still havent seen it after Carters exit, but now I think I will have to give it a try.
