My favourite pedal of all the time. So many lush and experimental sounds inside this box. So inspiring.

Same here..The dreamy pads you can get out of it are amazing..the only thing I'd love to be on it is a longer delay time like 1600 to 3200 ms for even slower dreamy phase pads...

Andy, just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to walk through this pedal. I know that it's been out for a bit, and there's probably a lot of gear that you could be looking at right now. Been trying to wrap my head around these Meris offerings, and your approach and touch are so welcome in unlocking the tone within. Cheers, and keep 'em coming!

So many pedals come and go. I remember being very impressed with this when it first came out. It was however soon swallowed up in a sea of new pedals "of all types." This video is a great reminder of just how insanely nice this one sounds. Thanks for reminding me.

This is the review I have literally been waiting for for years: Andy and the Meris Polymoon! Because Andy is such a versatile and intuitive player that I thought he would be the perfect match to capture what the Polymoon is all about - and I was right. He takes you on a trip that does the Polymoon justice. What's impressive is that the Polymmon can do a straightforward delay, a modulated delay, or take you on a sonic trip around the world. Remember that first time you heard Hendrix's "Are You Experienced?". Yeah, it's mind-blowing like that! Check it out, you won't regret it. I got the Polymoon when it came out and it's one of my favorite pedals, period. Great sounds! I hope Andy checks out Meris' other pedals too. Thanks Andy!

Great video and playing as usual. These Meris pedals are extremely innovative and top of the line in tone quality, some of these unique sounds are amazing in a KZbin Demo Video, but I'm not sure how or how much I'd be using most of these sounds in a musical song / playing context...

Beautiful intro Andy! The Meris stuff seem so clean in comparison to other brands. I think this makes them come across more cold than warm to my ear, but I don't say that in a negative light. I think an artist needs warm and cool colors on the palette. I can't decide which of the 3 I would like to add to my rig from the polymoon, mercury 7, or Hedra. This was a great review thanks. I will contemplate.

So you have to use a Y cable for stereo input? Why do pedal makers do this?
@AndyDemos2 жыл бұрын
That’s a fair question- if you see the back panel, there is very little room for another jack in this form factor. My guess is they had to make a tough decision on what players use the most.

I have mine at nearly the end of the chain and it’s sounding great but on the stereo outs would you use a trs to a mixer and then to separate amps. Thanks

@timmartin56 Жыл бұрын
How do you do the factory reset? I bought a used one and would like to start from factory settings. I downloaded the manual, but I can’t find how to reset. I found pages showing the factory settings, but I assume there is a way to power up so it just resets itself.
@AndyDemos Жыл бұрын
@@timmartin56 Sorry about that, it appears they show the settings so you can re-dial and save but no factory reset on this model.
@timmartin56 Жыл бұрын
@@AndyDemos thanks for the reply. I saw another KZbin video where someone explained how to do a factory reset on the Meris Mercury 7, so I just assumed it could be done with the Polymoon. I think I got it set fairly closely to the factory settings now. It’s definitely going to be a steep learning curve for me. I struggled with configuring some of the global settings. I didn’t really understand what to choose between Dry Active and Dry Muted as well as the Trails configuration. I guess I will have to just experiment and see what different configurations do. It seems to be a very cool pedal.

@@AndyDemos One of my favourites on the album, a huge chunk of the cover is gone after my cats and dog got at my vinyl back in the 80's. Great demo as ever, even if on the few occasions which the pedal doesn't do it for me I vote them up for the playing.

Nice Beatlesk demo tune. Too bad they had to throw in the extra 100 bones for the four switch pedal. At $300 they could at least give you a break on that highly useful "accessory".

Yet another toy that I don't need and cannot afford. Andy is great to listen to, that's why I'm here (sorry Meris) - but isn't this just a simplified little computer in pedal form? (Disclaimer: I know nothing about Digibollox hence "little computer", like a phone or one of these "plug-ins" the kids talk about).

“Hey guys this pedal is really complicated, so to keep it simple I’ll start the demonstration with some obscure secondary functions”
@AndyDemos2 жыл бұрын
Haha, my approach was to explain the pedal by going through the stages of the signal path (Flanger, Delay, Mod, Phaser) and yes they have secondary controls. Based on your comment, I added some chapters to help clarify the flow. Hope it helps!
