The thought of the paw moving in the hand gives me chills it's a spooky story a masterpiece.

This was so sad. The actors are what made the story so believable. All they wanted was a bit of money to pay for the remaining cost of their home. Really great acting.

They still use this story in school ? I remember in 1993 having to read it, then take a test on it and wishing I got to see the video first, because then I would of passed the test. I was terrible in school when it came to discipline on doing the proper work. I ain’t gonna lie that non-discipline I had then, haunts me today and I still have to constantly kick myself in the ass to not be so lazy. Other than that, good story line and good teaching. “Careful what you wish for because you just might get it.”

I saw another version where the son was a soldier and died of a heart attack, when they wished him back to life he was in agony, the father cut him up in pieces with a sword and each piece was still alive. This was back in the early 70's.
