@@semionjohnson1351 1- no comment about carrying them against the freakin orlando magic 2- against the sixers siakam played great and gasol held embiid to 17 points 9 rebounds on 37% shooting. It was not Robinson's, Kidd's etc fault that they were old, or Kobe's fault that he was injured. Someone haf ti step up and that someone did it big time.

Great list Andy, i'm agreed with you in the top 3. It's fair to say even if they "carried" their teams, every team was extremely good and deep in most of them. The other main pieces just performed vey low when the team need them, so the first piece came out and took over. In the case of TD, Dirk and Hakeem, they have very good and veteran teammates, but not enough greats to be part of the key pieces, as the other 7 players in your top 10.

Hey Andy, yes Kobe may had his lowest scoring output in 2000 finals but sometimes numbers don’t tell the whole story. Game 3 Kobe didn’t play because of a severely sprained ankle and game 4 he came back and took over in overtime while Shaq fouled out. This is one of the games that made Kobe career. Because of that the Lakers won the series, if pacers won game 4 they might have just won the series and lakers wouldn’t had been champions
@JG313924 жыл бұрын
Yeah, except you left out the part when Kobe was intentionally injured by Jalen Rose in game 2 and played only 9 minutes of that game, saved the Lakers in game 7 against Portland, saved the Lakers in game 2 against Phoenix, and of course saved the Lakers in game 4 of the finals when Shaq fouled out. To say Kobe was carried is asinine.

1976 Doctor J deserves to be on this list, Andy. The 1975-1976 ABA Nets did not have any other superstars, most people can't even name the team's starting five. The Nets played the favoured Nuggets in the Finals who had 3 future hall of famers (Bobby Jones, Dan Issel, and David Thompson). Being guarded primarily by arguably the best defensive player in basketball Bobby Jones, Doctor J led both teams in scoring (37.7 ppg), rebounding (14.2 rpg), assists (6.0 apg), steals (3.0 spg) and blocked shots (2.2 bpg) as the Nets won in six games. In addition, Doctor J was the playoff MVP and regular season MVP that year. As a bonus, the ABA Champion Nets then challenged the NBA champion Boston Celtics to a 7-game series to see who was the best and the Celtics and the NBA refused to accept the challenge. That makes the Nets to be the last true world champions in my book as the ABA merged into the NBA the following season and the Nets were disbanded and moved to New Jersey.
