Being a woodworker, using hardwoods, specifically oak; I have a great appreciation for your craftsmanship on this beautiful table. Kudos Andy. I am making a small piece for Matt as a gift to celebrate their new “forever” home. Problem is, I have no idea where to send it. Any help from either of you would be greatly appreciated.

Wow, what a beautiful table art you created. It is always my pleasure to watch a craftsman of your caliber create something beautiful and useful. My family is from Peru 🇵🇪 and my padrino had a table of this size made for my madrina as a gift. This table sat 12 people and it was two pieces! The size of the tree was bigger around than the table when it was finished and all of it was cut from one piece of wood. Of course the base came apart from the table so that it could be placed in their home. This was made in the 1940’s I wish that I had a picture of it now because I did not realize what a piece of of art it was. Thank you for sharing your process with me.

That is fantastic. I hate building giant stuff as it gets so heavy and hard to work / reach. I looks really great. Getting something that large to be flat is such a challenge. I want to build a round table (but not that large) with a lazy susan in the middle. Rather than pass everything, we just spin it to be in front of us. I like the round table as you can see everyone more easily. Great work and thank you for sharing.

I would say go for it, you learn a lot from failure. (If you can afford it of course ya don’t want to set yourself back on a gamble) I built a patio roof this December, never thought I could do it on my own with limited experience but I just went for it, and it turned out nice and learned a lot from it. And in a world with information 2 clicks away, videos like this can guide your attempts to further increase your chances of success!

Beautiful work. That is one huge table. Those big pieces look great but they can really be a pain to work with. You really can't move to the tools them once they get assembled, you have to move the tools to the work. I made a Texas King Bed for a customer once so I can sympathize. Robert looks like he is fitting in well. He seems to take lessons well and I've seen you use him as a sounding board as well.
