Great video. I started feeling hypo when my ferritin dropped to a 7 when I had a miscarriage and IUD. Through a yourube video, I found to test for Hashimoto’s. That cane back positive. I was so focused on Hashimotos Protocols that I completely ignore my ferritin levels. I have made some huge lifestyle changes (tried NDT+cytomel, supplements, adrenal cortex, gluten and dairy free with a paleo diet) and I still managed to gain sooooooooo much weight. So much of my time has been researching Hashimotos and I didn’t focus on iron. My level went from 7-42 in 2 years. Im I have done gi-map, hormone dutch test. Although my hormones are all tanked, gi-map had great results, but I am really hoping my low ferritin is preventing all my efforts from working. Dr. Childs says ferritin should be 40-50 but I am still having loq iron symptoms at 42. Do you think my low iron targeted Hashimotos, mAde me hypothyroid and caused so much weight gain despite eating like a friggen bird

So, I have hashimotos thyroiditis. I am on synthroid. My ferritin levels are low. I have been on iron supplements last year, but as soon as i stop the supplements, within a few months, I am back to ground zero. Low iron again! What should be done? Will I always have to be on iron supplements? If yes, won't there be side-effects? Please let me know. Thanks!

I'm confused. I had low b12, but not Pernicious Anemia that I know of.

I have celiac disease with Hashimoto with Pernicious anemia and previous history of iron deficiency and now I have iron overload which is at 54% ( no hemocromathosis) with high ferritin which is currently at 368. I still struggle with folate deficiency but lately my Babinski signs has improved and at least I can sleep without any Xanax or Gabapentin. I have noticed that my ferritin and tsh increase when I eat high glycemic foods such potatoes and rice or when some foods cross reacts and eosinophils increase. I had Alt and Ast in the non alcoholic fatty liver disease with Cushing syndrome after one year following the classical gluten free diet. Do you have any issue with Acth and Cortisol? Thanks

Your videos are always so informative and helpful! Thank you! I was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto’s and am learning a lot about why I’ve been feeling so bad!

Thank you for this important information. Do you know what it means if ferritin is low but iron saturation is high? Im confused about whether to supplement or not.

We've ruled out Hashimoto's through blood work. But those this apply to hypothyrodism that is not Hashimoto's as well? Thank you.
