Undoubtedly one of the biggest clubs in the world in terms of their brand and fanbase, but absolutely uncontested domestically. I wish it wasn't true as a Dundee Utd fan but the football in Scotland is awful. A Scottish manager can go elsewhere and be successful though, and I do rate Ange and his football, but it is a farmers league

Don't mislead your punters. Postecoglou replaced another coach who got Australia to the 2014 World Cup. In 2014 his results were, three losses, 3 goals for 9 against. He then won the Asian cup on home soil, the one true achievement in his career as far as I am concerned. This was followed by the worst qualifying series ever. 95% of Australia's games under Postecoglou saw them conced a goal within the first 15 minutes. Then having, by some miracle, qualified for the competition he bolted and left the team in the lurch.

But I think the prejudice of him being from "non footballing stock" (europe/south america) and his history of spending most of his career with teams nobody cares about will just come around have people saying the moment things look rough that he wasn't a good choice/what were they thinking etc. Given the manner that Spurs got him, with many other first choices seemingly refusing it also paints a bad look that they just took whoever they could get. I really want him to do well and prove everyone wrong, but unless he manages to unearth another Bale/Kane level player or somehow turns half the squad into useful players he's likely not going to last a season.
