I’m tearing up thinking about John being gone just listening to Melissa sing. R.I.P. John Prine, a national treasure! Thanks for sharing your John Prine story and singing this great song, Melissa. ❤️

You are lucky to witness those two talents together. Billy Bob transforming into probably the greatest, strongest, most honest and believable charachter in cinema, and John Prine transform the air into the emotions of everyone's life into a song. John Prine could do that. A John Prine song could identify and define people's life experiences into words better than they, themselves, could. He was a gift to humanity.. John was one of those rare persons that was plugged in to something greater. And a conduit for we mere mortals to be able to glimpse and enjoy it. Thanks M. E.

You are both living legends.... and now another angel flies free. Like tou, been singing his songs since my teens. Thank you, Melissa, for the beautiful tribute. Thank you, John, for Angels, Illegal Smile, Dear Abby, the times with Bonnie, and Hello In There, which still chokes me up, thinking those hollow eyes might one day be those of my mother, or my own. Teac’em to soar, John, like ya did for us down here. MLE, as always... and Angie.

I honestly paused it after the intro, and haven’t listened to the song yet. What a wonderful intro! Great storytelling. Folklore. Oral history.
