One of the biggest surprises to me as I've been reading about Murder She Wrote was how challenging - physically tiring - she found it. That was one of the reasons they started making episodes where Jessica is narrating a story in which someone else investigates. And she was so public about that issue - here, she says she didn't think she would be able to do it.

Great speech (especially the closing) and very well-deserved. I recently started watching MURDER, SHE WROTE on Netflix (currently on Season 2). At first I was reluctant, expecting a bunch of '80s cheese, but it's a really good show. Great acting all around (especially by Lansbury, who carries the show by herself; every episode there are a batch of new guest stars) and the production values are topnotch. No wonder this show ran for 12 years and was consistently in the Top 5, Top 10, or Top 15.
