➕ Fantastic video, found it really insightful and informative, Wanted to share something from my background that relates to this. In the Hindu and Buddhist traditions you have visualisation practices in the form of Dhyana Mantras. The appearance and attributes of the specific deities representing various qualities and functions, practiced while reciting or chanting the deities' mantra. The concept of the third eye in these systems would also be analogous to the Western mind's eye concept. Except the third eye represents the eye of the soul more than the mind, and is opened through these mantric practices and many other related practices such as the utilisation of the sacred geometry of Yantras and Mandalas etc. You had touched upon Mandalas in your video on Shingon Buddhism recently.

❌✳🔱🔰➕🔆 I would also add as a different tradition with very visual practices, the Tibetans with their Mandalas and Tantric Deities like Kali with her necklace of skulls, and Tankas ( meditation paintings ) very imaginative output of works over the centuries, ( but not in the tradition of European religious practices but very worth a mention for its amazing complexity, textures, and depth ) thanks for your great video !!!

I find it fascinating that her highly disciplined, and respectful scholarly approach to subject matter leads to a better understanding of the subject matter, whether it be Christianity or otherwise. She is very open minded and does her homework when it comes to anything she discusses... One can gradually discern her personal preferences but she never compromises in her effort to gain and share genuine insight into her topics - If I were (strictly) a Christian, I still would not hesitate to go to Angela for deeper insight into the teachings and practices associated with historical traditional and esoteric (mystical) Christianity!
