Hi John! I'm probably the worst person to ask this question to because I read exactly zero books in undergrad and high school. 😆 I'm a big believer that you get wayyy better information from talking to lawyers (check out my vide on "informational interviews") and getting the experience yourself (e.g. part-time jobs, internships, volunteerships).
